Logged in this morning just to see what was going on - was very saddened to get a private message from an old friend saying Das was shutting down (Haxley).

I've had more good memories than bad in Dasaria, and it is truly a shame to see all of that end.

My biggest regret was not finding time within ...

Restarted, updated my graphics driver, restarted again, turned off render far shadows and that seemed to do it.

What kind of game setting would need to be changed if, when walking, the entire screen seems to jerk?

(The only bad part about reinstalling from scratch on a new computer is not knowing where your settings should go . . . sigh)

Most of the vault links are broken - most of the links in this thread in general are broken. Are the portraits now DLed through the Das update thing when you first connect? Or are we still responsible for DLing them? Because if it's the latter, the broken links make that a bit problematic.

I don't think the problem is a lack of starting kit - it is possible to get to level 3 or 4 without having to really pick up a sword just by doing Fed Ex quests through Cear. What I think the problem is, is finding those quests. Maybe have an NPC in the Mistyvale that the character reports to - like ...
