Re: Blast from the past.

Carnelian mentioned you two had been playing so I thought I'd come over and see whats what.

I hear there's some way of getting my old characters associated with my new CD key?

Just wondering..

Just a quickie;

I've recently rediscovered Das, Thanks to the efforts of Judas and The Explorer, and am coming to spend more time here again. A lot of my time inbetween Das's has been spent playing EvE Online, and I just wondered if anyone here is currently playing or has played EvE?

Other than ...

Hmm..

I'm Matthew Warren. 33, in Milton Keynes in the UK. Have had a bit of a fight with RL over both the Das's - I want to play, life says No! The times I have been around and played though, are why I feel mmorpg's like wow etc.. just don't cut it. It's the magic of the DM's y'see, with a good ...

We roast the fat baby ones, and breed the erm, lithe athletic ones. As far as 'lithe' and 'athletic' apply to 'massive hooge' worms.

Look, no-one has mentioned dune yet, but thats what we all thinking, right? except the the worm juice from our worms just gives you bellyache, no supernatural all ...

RP'ing deaths in quests etc, I've always tried to avoid saying 'I died like, 3 times' and instead say something along the lines of 'They beat me back repeatedly, until I had to just give up'

And things like the fuge plane, I'm with you on that Wyv. The worst death system I came across was in Arabel ...

Problem getting PWC

Hallo peeps.

After a lengthy break I thought I'd come back over, but I can't seem to get the PWC file. The links to filefrot just take me to filefronts front page, and searching filefront for Cear or the filename brings back no results!

So, am stumped.

Swap

Thats not quite true.

The best place to have swap on any system, unix/linux and windows, is on a fast separate physical disk on a bus all by itself, with the swapspace as on contiguous 'chunk'.

It's all about spindles, read heads and seek times. Unless you've got yourself a fibre attached array ...

1.05 patch problem

well, sort of. Applying the 1.5 patch; my laptop d/loaded it and applied it in about 15 mins.

So far my desktop has taken an hour to apply(not d/load) about 10% of the patch update.

:/

I'm scratching my head for reasons why.. anyone think of anything?

I basically like the healing potion change, but I still think (I mentioned it in the other thread) that potions of Cure Light Wounds should be available in stores. This is largely for new/low level players. Cure Light Wounds potions can't be that overpowering, can they?

I second this. I do like ...
