Breaking invisibility

Hi all. I have a character that spends a lot of time wearing an invisibility spell and I have yet to find a graceful way to break it to initiate roll play. I do not like having to attack some random signpost or whatnot so that people can see me. Is there a better way that you all have found to do this? Thanks for any suggestions!

I generally use darkness targeted upon my character, but that suits that character. Resting works but may not always be a great idea tactically. I've also seen dispell used.

Carry around dust of appearance/invisibility purge wands?

It depends on the class though. Clerics have it easy with Invisibility Purge, wizards can usually use dispel to great effect. Warlocks have the hardest time though. I found it easiest to just drop and item and bash it, myself.

good idea with dropping an item alterity i think i will do that.

purge invis wand is also good if you have someone that can make it of course.
