Alignment and the Movies

Where would the boon dock saints fall?

On one hand it seems chaotic since they go outside the law and deliver their own justice.

On the other they seem to have their own boundries and laws that if you step over they will act.

How isn't he? He is totally opposed to the corrupt chaotic injustices of Gotham city. He follows his own moral code above everything else. Lawful doesn't mean "follows the laws of the city," it means orderly and disciplined. Someone who is lawful will plan things out and follow them to the letter.

And with the good part, have you even seen Batman Begins?! When the secret society orders him to kill that criminal and he refuses, saying he should stand trial. That's not only super good, but super lawful even in the sense of following laws!

Batman is about as Lawful Good as you can get.

Dunno Lanky, in the movie, yes he is lawful. In some of the Dark Knight series, he is pushing being just chaotic good.

however leia makes sense as lawful good.

Well fair enough, different authors probably interpreted him differently. I'm judging him more from Batman Begins (one of my most favourite movies of all time) so yeah.

Balian in Kingdom of Heaven by the end of the movie is Lawful Good, and a Paladin through and through.

Lawful Good would be Captain Carrot of Discworld, especially when he first joined up. One of many examples that led to the phrase of "lawful stupid" (though Carrot only gives the impression... he's probably extremely cunning).
