Hey Will
Sorry this is in clan code and my own code as well, but you can’t be too careful when you’re sending stuff in the care of strangers. Give my regards to Clan Drazen.
You was right, this province is opening up now but it aint ready yet. The locals here are worse than in Varana, always some one wanting to dob you in for something. They don’t need any guardsmen here to persecute them, they do it to themselves ha ha.
Only found one thieves guild worth mention. They are small time running protection rackets and thinking themselves to be cock of the walk. You get caught cutting purses here an you are dead meat, every one jumps on you an grabs a slice of hacking you to bits. So for a while I am going to play it dead straight, no niking purses or killings. Its going to be a change to be an upright citizen, I’ll have to keep off the beer or I might forget myself ha ha.
Trouble is they are reel hiks an sweed bashers just asking to be plucked. I got real friends with a really knock your eyes out good looking maiden called Leolise, shame she’s twice my size. Some big berk in armour says to me "Hallo little fella". I says to him "I aint little, yor big." Then he got all abusive. Funny people.
Just for a laugh, there’s a bard here they reckon is quite good, but his spells are all off key. They reckon when he whistles your ear wax melts and your teeth get lose. I’m hoping to meet him should be fun ha ha.
Well I’ll write again soon
Spike.

Hey Will
I hope every one is well, thanks for your letter, don’t worry about Barrel Baylee, he won’t do a thing, he’s all threats and no do. Give my regards to Clan Drazen.
I’ve been enjoying myself here in Cear, it’s a well built town with stout walls and docks, but it’s like a frontier town. The wars really knocked this area about and it hasn’t recovered by any means so far. It’s not like Varana where the only villains are undercover, here, they are walking round rubbing shoulders with the good guys and it’s hard to tell which is which.
Like I told you in my last letter, I’ve been going straight and it’s an eye opener. Of course, just because I’m a ‘ling I get some stick but I have made a couple of good friends by helping them on various jobs.
Inside the town there are rat cults, undead cults, rogue wizards; you name it and they got it. That’s not all, the area surrounding the place is crawling with wild animals bandits and wotnot. It’s so bad that the guardsmen ask the civilian population to help them.
So I been helping where asked, hiring out as a locksmith cum hitman. And it’s nice. It’s nice going for a drink with someone without wondering how to use them in some scheme or how to rook them.
So I’ve come up with an idea how we can prosper down here in Dasaria. I know you and some of the others are getting just a leeeeetle bit fed up with the dodgy life, and as we are aware, at present the only way out is in a coffin (as if they’d bother to put you in one). How about us running a straight operation down here in Dasaria. Hard cases doing jobs that the nobs can’t or wont. It could be supervised by the Drazen elders, operated by experienced proved and tried clan members that have done their stint and want out from the dodgy life, profits to the clan. Believe me we’d make a fortune and the authorities and clergy would love us. In time we could become a force to be reckoned with, after all, the nobs now was the hard cases then. Clan Drazen has got a chance to move up the social ladder.
Any way, that’s my thoughts on the matter. Give it a whirl and if you reckon that this is for you, see Diamat Drazen, he’s the most approachable, and float the idea with him. For all the god’s sakes, do NOT let them get the idea I’m going soft, or likely to prove an embarrassment to the clan.
I’m waiting to hear from you
Spike.
