I happen to agree that this is mysterious. In light of how her son died barely two months ago, it makes you wonder, doesn't it? Then again, I might just be one of those people who enjoy weaving conspiracy theories...

Both her and her son were druggies, her son died from an overdose. The apples don't fall far from the tree, so my assumption with Smith.... drug overdose.
