crafting question

[Allyn]

I am a total newb to crafting any thing and I do not want a specific location answer (if there is one) to my question. I just want a general answer.

Is there a place or way of obtaining the ingots of various metal types for the weapons/armor crafting?

Thus far, in my wanderings/exploration, the only ingots I have encountered are the few that may or may not be for sale at Ealden's.

Thanks.

Thus far, I am not aware of such locations. There are a number of "Special Apparatus" devices sprinkled throughout various quest locations and those tend to provide random crafting materials for crafters of all persuasions. As you have noted, the other way to get materials is to keep checking the selection of items sold by vendors, because sometimes adventurers will sell the crafting materials they find for some extra gold. You could also inquire with players themselves, especially in the Trades and Commerce section of the forums.
