Oddly enough about rendered view you mentioned;
On Dassaria, when I leave the Misty, I go out the backdoor, I tend to have less crashes oddly enough. Though it does startle my character a bit seeing a graveyard everytime he/she signs on.
Sign in areas = less crashing

Also on my previous PW we had Login-server-system.
As experienced it there I'm also a fan of an idea about getting the login server here. (Note: Login server != area in the world)
By saying Login server I mean small OOC area, where you can chat (and perhaps even duel OOC to kill some spare time on different "Fight Club" area) with "an enemy" and make them into your playing friends even if you hate them in character.
Login server would cause bit more bandwidth loss, but if it saves server from crashing, it would eventually be worth of it. At least it would prevent server to crash if multiple players loading into same area is causing the server crash.
And as a bonus, this could give option to spawn somewhere else into the world (after restart, when your persistent location is not saved to the server ) which would be nice for RP reasons. I bet there are characters out there (Enemies of the Emperor, burn 'em!) who would like to spawn somewhere out of town.
