Perhaps the various elemental creatures in the sewers would provide a backdrop for their arrival?

Oooh ooh, I've got it.

The genasi invade Varana on a righteous crusade instigated by Lochwar to rid the world of drow! Once they succeed they nobly retreat back to... Planescape and leave us with our utopia.

Really though, I'm terribly surprised to know that no one since Das 1 has come up with some sort of background for Drow. Is it because of simple lack of effort or because they are really that hard to integrate into the Dasaria campaign?

There is an extensive subject on Drow history.

Apparently multiple people on this forum have submitted multiple histories, and I don't believe the DM team or the players have ever consolidated on any one history.

Also - as far as adding more "unatural" creatures to the game, I'm highly against it.

This campaign is heavily human favored, and as per the DM's, they highly encourage that you play a human.

Drow, Tieflings, Aasimar, and Genasi - and to some lesser extent other non-human Races will receive some sort degree of prejudice.

Honestly, if you walked into the Church of Lochwar and had fire coarsing up your body - I'd try to put your face out with a mace.

If you looked like you were sweating Mud, I'd try to cool you off with a Mace to the Face.

If it sounded like you had a cool wind blowing around your hair, I'd keep you warm with a mace to the face.

And if it looked like you were clammy, and scaly, I'd try to heal you with a mace to the face.

The Church already has a very very thin definition of "tolerance". Test your luck

well, no reason to be against it though, in the church manner anyway OOC.....because of course there are people who at times like to play chars who are against lochwar, or just plain Outlawas.....so why take another race that could do exactly that, make them better as outlaws away from them? kinda dumb, das is known for its rp and what makes better role play than outlaws and inlaws(hehe)??? there would be no use for the lawmen for IC if there were not outlaws.
which brings up the mattter of lawmen again..............Where are the lawmen????i bring up the possible temp replacement for torq untill he once agai ndecides to grace us with his presence....or more corprals/constables to make the rp a bit better as of late? i havent seen a single one on except Fist for ages....
