They heads etc would have been in a HAK. So if you select a head that isn't in NWN2 you may be headless to the rest of us

No, they were using the official Sou stuff. I'd guess that the required patch contained the necessary modells and while you couldn't select them for your onw characters you could at least see them when SoU owners were using them.

Along with the races and feats and such...you will have acess to new arcane/divine spells...although you cannot use them, so do not do what I did and waste a spell slot on them as well as a rest because you get all excited about Mass Bear's Endurance and Mass Bull's Strength or the array of Vigor.... Oh well....at least I learned it before I was in a battle.....

I'd say that this means that Das must update to MOTB soon even if you don't care about the new stuff. You can't expect people to think of such things (quite few people won't even know what is new in MOTB). Maybe Obsidian can fix this in a aptch so that all the new tings don't even appaear when the server dosn't support them. But we all know Obsidian

Obsidian hasn't done anything to fix transition crashes in 1.10. But because of Dasaria's low server population, transition crashes are now pretty rare.
Oh well....at least I learned it before I was in a battle.....
