A bit of RP problem
I'm trying to RP something different(and permanently this time i promise)than your usual do-gooder char, but something near lawfull evil/power hungry type. Not gonna enter in details about my char and since i'm a sub race of dwarves I'm not very found of Lochwar. But the problem isn't that.My difficult is that I wanna roleplay lying to get peoples favors(let's call it that). So I'm asking if it's possible to have double talk lines for diplomacy required lines or those that would give good points and you get evil instead. On other words something like:-It was a pleasure to help you
-(lie)it was a pleasure to help you
Not one of the best examples maybe but I hope you get my point.I know it's possible since I've seen it a few times in nwn2 OC,even if not used at fullest. Also maybe available only to evil alignment char of course.
This is only because I really don't like the brutish, stupid chaotic evil but the smart one.I know it might be my lack of RP and others could find someway around, but I found it(atleast for me)really difficult and I'm actually just doing quests to get started(4-5 lvls)without RPing much with the npcs.

Re: A bit of RP problem
If you're talking about NPC dialogues, I don't know per se, it totally depends on the quest. Dealing with other players is pretty easy though, as there's not any skill check involved (necessarily, it's generally considered good form to roll a bluff check if you're blatantly lying, but even that's optional).
That said, welcome to Dasaria, you're character idea is the common one, either that or the CN out for themselves character. The do-gooder characters are the minority and unusual ones, in my experience.

Re: A bit of RP problem
Yes i know how word can say much and less in the same time.Of course I'm gonna try to roleplay my char as much as I can on the normal basis(all player enviroment)but I was/am a bit confused by the quests involving speaking with npc where you only have lawfull good, neutral, and chaotic evil answers. What I was trying to say is that even if cultural background(both race and class)gives me the lawfull evil i really find myself in difficulty when selecting answers not the speaking in itself.
Just to clarify I'm not hidding IG what i am and what i do,but I'm actually building Diplomacy more than Bluff just because of that. That's why I'm asking how would/should I use diplomacy without changing allignment eventually.

IMO, I would just RP out without even posting in here. I think you will get a better RAW reaction.

We also need a sarcasm option, too.
(Sarcastic) Yeah, It sure was a pleasure "to help".

Re: A bit of RP problem
For the most part I don't even care what the NPCs say and I rarely "RP" in NPC quest conversations. I just follow what is most appropriate, and RP with PCs I encounter.

Re: A bit of RP problem
Yes mostly I'll do that too now but still the allignment changing is pretty heavy.Even worse is that I mostly get either chaotic or good points both that i don't need.I'll try to keep them under control but some quests give really nasty bonuses like that +10 good.

Re: A bit of RP problem
You may want to think about the quest line a bit more, would a LE person really go out of their way to help some one start an orphanage. If your answer is no, then don't to the quest, by the same token if your LG then your not going to break into a warehouse steal things.
When there is no other way, the perilous path is the only road to salvation.

Re: A bit of RP problem
Actually that was a quest I didn't wanted to do at all, that and another one similar i don't remember now.But after I said let's skip a bit npc rp and just get some xp,ended up almost neutral,no problem I'm balancing it now even if getting lawfull points without getting good ones is a bit harder of course.
But I guess Cythis was right I have to drop my analitic mind away a bit and just lose myself in the world. Thanks anyway guys for the answers.
