I had every intention of starting my first character to be the child of Haxley (one of Stormknife's characters) and Heaven (mine). No death threats were thrown my way by the DM's, but I talked myself out of it mostly when it was announced we had to apply to have Das1 characters in Das2 (for those of you who didn't know them: Haxley was a rather 'business-like' rogue, and Heaven ended up being a really insane sorceress; I was aiming for a kid that was an arcane trickster
). So, I let the 'application' thing scare me... and created another character.Still a sorceress. Still rather evil (Heaven was CE at the end of Das1)... but Lawful. I'd never tried a Lawful character before. I thought it was a challenge. So, thus, Faen was born, and with her, Fuzzy.
When attendance in game died down, old friends left, forgot, or just never returned... I started with a few groups (one which meets at 1pm Eastern Saturdays, and the other at 8pm Eastern Saturdays - shameless plug)... and Edana and Vallyn were both born, respectively. I'm enjoying every minute of playing them, and I thank not only Stormknife for manipulating (okay, strongly encouraging) me to try Dasaria in the first place, but everyone in Das1 who made me feel at home and welcome. It was the feeling of community that I received that encouraged me to stay. And that's something we do really well, I think.
Let's go for another 2 years, shall we?
