I was going through some pictures this morning that I took months ago, I wanted to show you guys how adorable my dog was. Unfortunately I trusted a family member to watch Koba for me while I was in the middle of my move into my new apartment. I took him out to my hometown in Pennsylvania and I planned on getting him at the end of the month, my aunt would call me no sooner then a week after I took him out there to tell me he ran off and they couldn't find him. The search ended without finding him and I was left bitter in the situation. I feel like its my fault but I know deep down he was a great dog and he either found another home or he died a glorious death, fighting a bear of course.

I was livid, and above all else sad beyond words. I can't tell you how much I loved this dog, honestly. He was my first dog, the first one I could call mine and he and I had an understanding. He slept with me every night and he awaited me after work, it never failed to excite him when I walked to through that door. I spent a lot of time with Koba, he was my best friend.

All of my friends have their own memories with Koba, noone have a bad thing to say about the bugger and that is a memory I'll never lose. He was a cross between Staffordshire Terrier and Pitbull, yes I said the dreaded Pitbull, bah. A dog reflects the owner, and this lil' guy represented just fine.

Here is to you Koba, because I loved you buddy. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures as much as I do.

Looks a lot like my dog. I'm happy that you had such a great dog, and sorry that he disappeared.

Here's a pic of my dog, Bocce. (Pronounced 'botch- ee') He has a bit of pit bull in him, but he's a Heinz 57.

He'll turn 1 around May.

We bought him from the Human Society. He was found in Southern US, alone as a pup.

He's better behaved than most dogs I know, even the elder ones. He's still got that spark of youth in his eyes.

He's been a better friend to me than any other, for the half-year that we've had him now. My best friend, really.

Sorry to hear what happened Redleafe. I have the same friendship with my dog and would be just as devistated should something like that happen to me.

Oh, the only way my dog could kill a bear is if it got caught in its throat.

Ah man, that really sucks. Your puppy looks exactly like my dog when he was younger. I have an APBT as well (I'll post pics later) and I don't know what I'd do if he got lost. I really feel for ya.

I doubt he actually fought a bear, but I'm willing to bet he was found by someone that gave him a loving home.

Sorry to hear that. As Lanky said, maybe in six months he may show up at the door with three bitches and two cats in tow.

I wasnt really paying attention to what thread or anything I was reading and as I read this I thought we were talking about Jay and for a moment i was really excited for him hahaha.

Here's pics of my buddy, as promised. His name is Balor. He's not too bright, but he's 80 pounds of pure joy. He also eats like a horse and runs through everything like a wrecking ball, but that's what makes him great.

Koba looks to have a wonderful personality. I'm sure he is having a blast somewhere out there, and who knows, perhaps he'll find his way back yet.
