is intended that OLM quests give no loot and just exp ?
being aimed at mature chars isn't worthing add some jucy stuff at them to found in ? like for instance ... rescuing a fortress and finding in it not even a knife is quite awkward
[quote="Wired"] .... at level 8 there's something like 60 quests worth a whopping 18,950xp available to you.

there is also the possibility that i still don't know all the aviable quests and at this point maybe it could be easy for everyone have a list of the titles the PW quest divided for level scopes ( not where they start just the name ) in that way it could be easier to find if you are missing something or if there is something you didn't know it exists and you could be pushed to look for it

Yes, it was designed that way, but it seems reasonable to me there would be some loot available anywhere soldiers were. Let me think about that, perhaps the reward should be scripted to the spawns in the area.

We've shied away from publishing a level guide or allowing one to be published on the forum, but I'm sure they exist... i once discovered a scan of a hand-drawn map of the quests around Cear while googling. In that 8-ish range you've lots of solid quests available in Cear, Thrall's Gate, Morell, Aucklorn, and other places. That's a lot of ground to cover!

I can totally see how an IC map could be created by an IC guild for people who often "require helping hands". OOC? We're a RP server and should, as such, shy away from those sort of publications, but there's imho no way for not doing that IC. Maybe that information could be sold to "outsiders" of a faction too. Lots of opportunities. Right, Lord DMs?

in my experience ( I'm considering myself quite a veteran ) the best RP i ever experienced was always coming out from random encounters of people inside the same dungeon ( most of the time in there for different reasons ) and those was a blast ! not ( but i fully respect who do that ) sitting in a tavern or in an house chatting about weddings or so basically when something "real" was involved and not necessary saving the world or kill a dragon but even more simple tasks like "i need to find some adventurine "
I'm not discussing what kinds of RP there are or their merits; I'm just pointing out the reasons I feel people may have when they log off after a few moments, as I don't think that "not seeing anyone of their level range on" is the cause most of the time (though I guess it may be in certain cases). Thus, I don't see that behaviour becoming any different just because of a few modifications on how some quests work.
I would prefer that the server did not reset any more frequently. I will often log in when I have just half an hour to spare and mooch around the traders looking for crafting bits and pieces which are rare but can be found occasionally. More frequent resets would make these finds much less likely and make researching recipes harder and more hazardous.
Also I do not mind, for example, taking two years real time to get a character to 14th level (my highest so far). To me, levels are just something that happens as a side effect of a character developing.
