The Man With The Hat is Back
You know...I never even saw Episode III. I heard it was the best of the first series, but my wife told me that when she saw the scene to which you were referring, she got this image in her head of James Earl Jones covering the microphone and saying "You can't be serious...You want me to say this crap?"
So, yeah. I never saw it.

I'm still not sure why in Episode 3 Darth Sidious didn't tell Vader "oh, yeah... your girl was tried as a traitor and put to death by the Jedi." That would have explained his decades-long freak out and his galactic killing spree. Instead, he tells Vader "yeah, you wigged out and killed her." Why would the Emperor be honest with him? It just seemed weak to me. I agree, that final scene just seemed like it didn't fit.
Lucy: Geez that ogre hits hard! But in some strange way, I like it...
Good question Zhengyi, I think it may have something to do with him making a full transition to the Dark Side, but of course, if he had just lied and said the Jedi did it, it would have had the same result.
And, it's really worth watching Grayle, I thought all of the new ones were worth watching, Episode III especially, but I will always prefer the original trilogy for many reasons. It really ties together the entire saga though, I recommend you borrow it out.

Clone Wars > The Prequel Movies.
I like to pretend the prequel movies never happened and just watch the Clone Wars cartoon for what happened back in the day. I could put my true fan boy hat on and argue all night about why the prequels sucked, but instead I'll just recommend the main positive that came out of them.

If Sidious had lied, what would have happened if Vader had found out -years- later? Best let him know now and run him on a guilttrip so that he understands the type of monster he became. Make use of it. Face it; enjoy it!sirius wrote:Good question Zhengyi, I think it may have something to do with him making a full transition to the Dark Side, but of course, if he had just lied and said the Jedi did it, it would have had the same result.
I liked III. I saw that one last and that one finished the story to me because I had no idea how to tie up all the loose ends the other movies left with me. Yes, it was a little sappy and yes; Vader used to be emo, including a bad hairdo and razorblades but ya know? Pfft.

I didn't like episode III. When after the movie i realized that no one had killed that damn Jar Jar, i was so damn disappointed that i swore to hate the whole series. This is how it should've gone:

Return of the Jedi will always be my favorite of that series, and of the Indie series, I actually liked Last Crusade best, to be truthful. Of course, I *heart* Sean Connery, so...

I have trouble picking between Jedi and A New Hope, but I'd definitely count them as my two favourites of the entire saga.
As for the Indiana Jones movies, The Last Crusade was pretty good, and I liked Sean Connery as his dad, but I'd have to go with Raiders of the Lost Ark.
EDIT: And to throw back to a previous comment by lankycheese, the Clone Wars cartoons were indeed awesome. During high school I got home everyday just in time to watch one episode.

Urgh, the return of the Jedi.... primitive little furballs kicking the *** of imperial elite force. Yeah, right. The empire strikes back didn't have that kind of über-stupidity about it and it was technically lightyears (well, at least a few kilometers) above the new hope, so i guess it's my favourite one.
Indies are all just so damn funny that i can't name which one of 'em is the best. Perhaps the temple of doom, it was so hilarious. KALI MA!!!!

People were being real kill-joys in this thread.
Everyone knows that it's devoted it Indiana Jones!

I'm praying Shia won't mess it up.
