yeah - but a light shield atm can have 2 enchantments on it whereas a mithril shield can't
according to this there is no possibility of spell failure

Exactly. If you want a shield with no ASF then make a light shield out of Zalantar wood. I made one last night and it gives +3 AC (+1 Light shield, +2 enhancement) and 0% ASF. The craft armor DC is a little high, but manageable.

Re: Crafting Mithril Shields
yes, you can do that. but theoretically, a mithril heavey shield has no spell failure, not 5%
BTW, on the topic of lightshields, every time i use 1 it says that I'm using a 2 handed weapon (as if no shield was equipped).

Re: Crafting Mithril Shields
That's true. But my point was that since you can't currently enchant Mithril shields you're limited to an AC bonus of +2. With Zalantar you're able to get +3.
So you get the strength bonus from two-hand use?

Re: Crafting Mithril Shields
so, getting back to the original topic...
Can, at this stage, Mithril shields be enchanted in dasaria?

Re: Crafting Mithril Shields
Still spell is better option for Sorcerers, while small asf mithral is better option for wizards .. because sorcs are much more flexible at using still spell, and more lvl is less hard to spare since you have same amounts of spells at different spell lvls (at highter lvls)
As sorcerer i use still spells even when i need one normal but lower lvl is currently depleted... so i use one above, because i need certain spell.
With wizards its different story.. you cant cast still spells at will...
