Maeve's strangely burning eyes flick to Aswaith, their depths reflecting understanding amidst their calm normality.
"There are always questions...wherever life may lead us. My goal is not so much to fix things, but to aid those around me. Perhaps through me certain situations may become 'fixed', as you call it. But in a time like this, who is to know what 'fixed' really means. Aswaith, I rarely take people the wrong way, or take offense. I appreciate and respect the knowledge that you offer."
Her crimson lips curl into a warm smile, regarding the druid with respect and kindness. She then glances to Noa and nods, the smile still upon her mouth.
"I must bid you both farewell, for I need to start heading back to the Mill. Thank you for the pleasant conversation."

Rhode staggers forward sloshing his ale as Maeve turns to leave and bumps into him. Whether he was just passing by or how long he might have been standing there is uncertain.
"Oh hey babe, Yous leav'n toos? Is figur'n Is finds a good place to sleep me ale off." He grins at Maeve, Noa and only offers a nod to Aswath before turning back to Maeve. "Unless'n yous already knows of a good place."
He winks taking a sip of ale.

"Master Roggins, as you requested." Aswaith says in a hushed voice when he slips a small bag over the counter towards Master Roggins. "Apply them sparsely and see to it to quit doing so when allergic reactions start appearing. Some people don't take these lightly and can become quite sick by them. But I hope it will help."
After a short nod from the dwarf, Aswaith forces a soft and gentle, typical smile and turns his head to have a look at the present patrons. Squinting his eyes he tries to find a familiar face but when he doesn't seem to find the person he's looking for he turns back to Roggins.
"By any chance, Master Roggins.. Have you seen Noa about as of late?.. She's a regular in your kitchen and I was assuming.. well. I thought. Maybe you knew. You know." he begins to stammer lightly and the beginning of a frown creeps over his face. "Eh. I'm just. Well. Have something for her. And don't know where she is. Right now. You see?" he tries some more, aware that he become more and more of a stuttering idiot which on its own turns is turning his cheeks just a tad more flushed.

Wake up..
Sunlight peered through the small window of his room and he knew morning had arrived, too soon it seemed. He squinted his eyes and took a deep breath as he rolled over and grumbled under his breath and cursed himself for having indulged in too much ale the night before. He tried to close his eyes for just a bit longer, but, his head would not allow it. "Fine!" he said aloud all of a sudden as he threw the sheets back and sat up. Then it was as if the world started to spin out of control and his head seemed as if it would crack from the pain. He grabbed his head with both hands to stop the spinning, but, alas....it did nothing to help. *Blasted be me foolishness* he thought as he stumbled out and onto his feet. One hand on the bed, he began to strecth his short legs and prepare for the journey ahead. He looked around the room and wondered where all of his equipment was. "Hmph, I probably lost all me gear as well." he began as he strode towards the armoire in the corner. The stout dwarf did not care to be on a treasure hunt for his own equipment so early in the morning, but, he knew he had to find it and be on his way. With stubby fingers, he turned the knob and opened the door. Had anyone been walking by in the hallway at that moment, they would have thought a major battle was going on! The clamor of armor and weapon and everything else he owned, came crashing out onto him. "Blasted!" as the stream of curses began. Valborg was knocked to his rear and blocking what he could and when all was said and done, he was amazed to find the head of his broad axe stuck in the floor and only a hair away from his fine beard. His blue eyes were wide open then and he slowly got to his feet. He stood amongst the mess in the floor and tugged on his beard a bit as he went from cursing, to giving thanks. Soon enough, he gathered his gear, hefted his shield and strapped his axe to his belt and made his way down the stairs and into the main gathering area of the Mistyvale. On his way out he gave only a sidelong glance to Master Roggins, "It be mornin', but not a good mornin'." he said in a low and grumbling voice, "I hope ya can keep me room open see'in as I'll be back a bit later." as he headed out for his day to begin..........

The fire has burned down to embers before Karis finally pours herself out of her seat. Looking around the Inn she catches Roggin's eyes and nods a weary good night. She lets his disapproving stare wash over her, it’s not important.
The stranger's money is a pleasant weight at her side; she'll worry about what do if the Halfling doesn't show up with some convincing papers tomorrow.
With a smug grin she tosses back the last of the top self spirits his money has been paying for all evening. The alcohol adding to the warm glow of success in her stomach. Then, with one final acquisitive sweep of the common room, she turns and sashays her way upstairs to settle in to the unrepentant sleep of the innocent and the financially sound.

Just my luck, I run into a drunken harlet and an Elf so old he’s lost his marbles! Even worse, Karis has entangled me into her web of lies and now I have to work to keep both our heads of the chopping block!
*sighs*
Well no turning back now. I need to make up some decent looking “travel papers” and fast. Since the old guy can’t seem to remember anything, I’ll have to find a place that no one is likely to know anything about. Who is going to have some maps, then again who would be awake at this time at night to give them to me? The mage tower might, but no chance of getting hold of them. Perhaps the temple, surely the temple would have some maps about the lands of Varana and those near by.

When there is no other way, the perilous path is the only road to salvation.

Re: The Mistyvale Inn
Over time, the inhabitants of Roggins' inn grew fewer and fewer. Each day, he'd be cleaning out a mug at dusk, the same few residents walking idly around, not drinking much at all. Even adventurers were becoming scarce these days, and the quality of his brews were suffering because of it.
"This blasted war is keeping all of my customers away..." he grumbled. He set the mug down and sighed, watching his loyal few roam.

Edana sat near the fireplace, nursing a mug of cool ale - a vintage she really didn't want to know much about due to its black, nearly disgusting color. She balanced a plate of greens on her lap, eating elegantly despite her chainmailed appearance. The fire warmed her, and every once in a while she shivered. Rain pelted on the ceiling of the Inn, showing its wrath through two levels of wood and stone. She sighed, and continued eating.

Re: The Mistyvale Inn
Maeve pushed through the door to the Mistyvale, her rain speckled armour leaving small drips in her wake. Her incandescent eyes took a moment to study her surroundings, taking note of the lack of people residing in the inn. Resting her pale hand on the hilt of her great sword she made her way to the bar and then to a nearby table, long ivory hair shimmering behind her in a long braid tracing her path.
Maeve once again let her eyes patrol the area, looking for anyone who she may recognize. She had been gone for a hell of a long time and sensed that Cear had changed in her absence. With her hands wrapped around the frothing mug of ale, she settled into her thoughts.

Roggin's hums an old dwarven song while wiping an old and chipped mug. The dwarven barkeep glances over at the lone figure sitting nearby and then to her near full drink. He stops his tune momentarily before turning back to his task and his humming.

Re: The Mistyvale Inn
The back door to the kitchen is heard slamming open followed by a brief scream of surprise and a clatter of dishes. Rhode rushes into the common area; his oil cloth cloak spraying droplets of water around the common area and his head wrapped in a black turban of Culhannian style.
He glances around as Captain Walters raises his bow and the Talon Warlord turns towards him from the far side of the inn watching should any action need to be taken while Roggin looks up from his duties with a scowl seeing the mess in the kitchen.
As Rhode jumps up onto the bar he winks at Maeve. "Aye Babe, aint seens yous in awhiles."
Before a replay can be made he leaps off the bar towards one of the tables near the fire place and seems to disappear into thin air.
At the edge of the fireplace a proud looking man wearing worn armour and an old rapier hanging from a frog stands with his mouth slightly agape.
"Who was that?" Reginald asks.

Sitting in a far corner (a very dark, far corner), Edana nurses her ale. She eyes the woman briefly before Rhode bursts in and... out? She closes her eyes and shakes her head slightly, rubbing the bridge of her nose. With one fell swoop, she downs half of her ale, sliding the mug up and out of the shadows so Roggins can see it. As an afterthought, she pushes up five gold coins as well.

Re: The Mistyvale Inn
The quick action of Rhode leaping caused her to shift her weight in confusion and with it her ale teetering on the table causing small spatters to fly and hit her face. She blinked, her emerald eyes widening in question as one brow raised slightly at the now empty space that Rhode had occupied only a moment ago. A pale hand came to her face to wipe the glistening splatters from her strange skin as she muttered under her breath about some things never changing.
Her eyes flicked to the gentleman and his question and she responded with an answer of her own. "I've been asking that myself the entire time I've known that one." She shook her head slowly with a slight chuckle and walked up to the bar with her nearly empty ale mug. Both her eyebrows raised as the mystery tankard jetted from the darkness.
"Hello Roggins, I see some things haven't changed around here..." She slid a few gold coins toward him,"Is there anything left in the kitchen he dismantled for dinner and perhaps another ale? If you could hand me that cloth there, I wipe the spilled ale off my table."
She sent him a searching glance, hoping he would mention something of interest or any news happening in Cear recently.
