Let's keep this thread on track, and keep the digs at other player's character choices out of posts. If any of you want to discuss warlocks, their alignment and where they get their abilities, feel free to take it to the General forum.

With that said, keep the bios coming.
It's just a game...

Soibo Scha is a short, lean gnome with an easy smile and a quiet, confident nature. With his short, red hair and mischievous green eyes, he cuts a handsome figure, even in his shoddily made clothes.

He styles himself as the world's best liar, always seeking to out do himself and his most recent tall-tale. One minute claiming to be a dragon, the next a minotaur enchanted by a sorcerer jealous of his roguish good looks, he always stays just outside the realm of reality.

A gifted pickpocket and lock-picker, he does his best to "find" as many "treasures" as he can. Though not quite a kleptomaniac, he has been known to calmly and without any malice stroll through someone's home, picking up an odd assortment of "treasures" along the way.

His main quest, surprisingly, is simply to find a comely lass and, through fair or foul, sweep her off her feet. He intermingles this goal, of course, with the occassional breaking and entering or petty theft, but what noble cause goes without a few slight bumps?

Bio of Aldyn Trublud

Post by Aldyn Trublud »

Aldyn is the son of a Paladin, but did not follow in his father's footsteps due to a difference in opinion about the strictness of the code of the paladin. An acceptable warrior in his own right, Aldyn left his sheltered family life to find his own path and himself amidst the wilds of the lands surrounding his homeland. It was but a few days into his travels when he was ambushed by bandits, and left with nothing but his clothes and a few gold he had hidden for just such an emergency.

Stumbling into Caer from a seemingly endless hike, his feet nearly gave out on him as soon as he passed through the gates. He tried leaning against the inside of the city wall near the gate, but was told to move by the city guard. After finding a tavern just inside the walls, he gained the rest he needed and then set out to regain some gear so that he would not be so vulnerable again. Once he was satisfactorily armed and armored, Aldyn swore to become a better swordsman so that he may seek justice against his attackers and possibly return home or to his travels.

Though capable, Aldyn is a bit unsure of himself due to his run-in with the bandits. He is a bit quiet, but not afraid to respond to those that talk to him in a kind manner, and will always try to help those in need when he can. Aldyn used to keep his hair cropped short and his face shaven as well- his travels without gear have caused both his facial hair and the hair atop his head to grow longer than normal, and he seems to actually prefer this look now. Emerald eyes peer kindly out of furrowed brows, but this does not detract from his generous and naive appearance in the slightest. Aldyn also stands tall and proud over most due to being blessed with his father's physique.
I'll fell your dragons, your orc hordes, and your terrible undead... just keep those pixies away from me!

Vin is an aged man, follower of all that is Iaosia. He hails from the city port of Cear though he has been a great deal away, having only presenced changes gathered throughout the decades. He is kind by heart, taking pleasure in all little things and is often seen smilling leisurely. Vin's subtle elvish inheritances adorn his aged coutenance and though his whitened hair and wrinkled skin may have tales to tell, he still holds himself with a posture of a younger man. He always wears modest green tinged clothes with a matching hat. Outside the city walls, often does a badger accompany him in its same as ever coordinated pace.

Nott Aman BIO

Post by Nott »

Not much is known about Nott Aman, found on the shore near Cear Docks not long ago, apparently he is the only survivor of a shipwreck, a shipwreck that no one in Cear seem to recall. Nott Aman lost his memory, can't remember much about himself, people that talk to him can easily see he has a twisted mind, quite inconstant, not very easy to deal with, its quite clear that whoever he was couldn't be up to good.
The only information that some people have of him, such as Villam the Barkeeper is what he tells them, about some flashbacks he has during the nights:
"- It is a stormy night, I can see a man holding a stone, a big man... I'm on the deck of a ship, many are around me. Forty, fifty, I'm not sure, some of wich seem to be at my side... Then I see this big man, he tells me the stone is his now... My hands start to glow, I attack him... He shields himself using the stone, then I hit it, after the impact all I see is a flash of light and hear a big explosion, then I wake up... Aye, thats all I can remember..."

(P.S- I hope it is good enough, I'm not english and some here are very good writers. But thats it )

The bio of Anna Annike

Post by xmikas »

Young daughter of Maltus Annike and Lydia Annike, Anna history could be divided in two parts.

When she was just four, after the accidental death of both your parents, she was gaven by an uncle to the safeguarding of Neylea Comenic. Neylea in front of people was a owner of a well know Tavern, but secretly she was aslo a Matron of the Golden Chains. When she first met Anna she saw the light of Teshalia beyond the little girl. Then she named the little girl as 'Vera Lynn' and decided to raise her teaching the mostly exotic and secrets arts of dance. Anna (now Vera) risen to the top very fast, she was one of the best Initiates of the Golden Chains.

This is where the second part of her life started.

Just a few days before named Priestess of the GOlden Chains and be relocated to the court, Anna decided to 'pull over'. She decided to have another type of life instead only pleasing the eyes of rich people, charming then. A felling of adventure grew inside her.

She gave up everything she had, even her faith. Travel place to place with her old name (Anna), until she arrived in Cear. There she met new people, start a new life and for her surprise the most unexpect happened: She felt again Teshalia touch! Her faith grew again, she became stronger and stronger and now she wasnt more a court dancer - she was a Warrior, a battlepriestess! She make some good friends, mostly from the dwarf clan Stormbeard.

Now she is very renown in Cear, but only a few know about her past, which she rare talks about.

Name: Amis Vou’Torelli Irisha
Age: 19
Race: Human (1/4 Elven)
Occupation: Mercenary

A wanderer from the age of fifteen, Amis Irisha has known few friends over the years. Her life has been one of cruel hardship.

Amis was an orphan of a battle between a small group of brigands and the outskirts of a tiny village of the Rian forests. Human couplings and half-breeds populated the town. The girl's mother was found dead, and her father was nowhere to be found. At a mere four years old, she was taken in as a slave, before being sold off two years later to a foster family. Her father had noticed the girl's remarkable talent for resilience as she seemed to be the only child who would do her duty without complaint.

The only sense of family came from her uncle Tarrid and her brother Ashram. Raised in a family of men had laid the responsibility of strength and masculinity on the young Amis. Only her brother Ashram, and her uncle Tarrid had seemed to understand Amis.

Since her youth, she held a blade in her hands. Trained by her Father in the only profession he knew, he fostered competition between the siblings, so far as to pit them against one another frequently. Strength was needed in her town, as attacks from creatures on the village were frequent. Despite the enmity of training, Ashram and Amis loved each other deeply.

Ever since her youth, Amis has had an unfortunate connection with the supernatural through dreams. Every so often, she would talk of visions in the night. The supernatural seemed to follow her. The day her brother changed had sparked a great undoing, and supposedly had deep things to do with such matters.

The attack that followed, launched by her brother upon the village when she was fifteen, marked a day in her life that would change her forever.

A flash of steel across her left eye cut a scar that would never heal. As Ashram leveled the steel towards her wounded body, his cold eyes penetrated into her very soul.

In a terrible moment, brother fought sister in a battle to the death. The words exchanged between the pair that night remain between the siblings themselves. As the battle went on, Amis triumphed. Grievously wounded, she passed out after the battle, but she had seen him fall. Come morning, when Amis rose, she learned, mysteriously, that no body had been found.

Her father died in the combat. With his passing, she decided she had to find her own way, her own strength to save her brother, whom she believed to be alive, and overcome her own fears.

The village was no more. The dangers had leaded its people to abandon it. Tarrid, her only family now had decided to leave for more populated areas. He, the only support that Amis had known, had given his blessing, bade her to find truth in courage and to follow her own path, no matter what. A man of faith, Tarrid had always been an inspiration to Amis, although she never was a worshipper herself.

For four years, Amis has fought as a mercenary, escorting caravans and strengthening herself, trying to improve herself in combat and maintain her Uncle's teachings. Her feet have brought her to Cear. Rumors abound of cults, dangers and her own need for truth have brought her here.

Amis Vou'Torelli Irisha stands at roughly 5'9 and has an athletic build. A scar runs across her left eye from top to bottom, and her hair is often done up in a Mohawk with stray strands of brownish-red hair coming down in bangs across her face. She has the build of a woman consistently trained for battle and flexibility.

Often unseen without a weapon of some sort nearby, she carries her longsword at her waist, underneath a large shield. While not a woman of few words, she seems to select them with careful nature, and has an intelligence far greater than most would first assume. Though cold at times and prone to anger, there does seem to be some sort of a kindness hidden within herself.

In battle she is fierce, unforgiving and even sometimes brash, depending on the situation. Deep in those eyes, however, lies a need to find something greater; a calling, strength, something that not even she can define. Somewhere, inside, she hopes to find what it is she seeks, and hopefully peace with it.

Main Player Character: Father Marrent Arghivius

Re: CHARACTER BIOS! Let's see them here!

Post by vastgoten »

Marrent Arghivius was born outside the lands once known as Dasaria. He was abandoned at an early age by his family – who saw him more as a burden than anything else. The church of Lochwar offered to care for him in the family's place. His father, a devoted follower of Lochwar, accepted the church's offer without hesitation. Since then, Marrent has had very little contact with his family.

He was raised by the church community not far from the Imperial capital. He has seen the greatness of the Varanite Empire and was convinced, as any good citizen would have been, that the Varanite Empire is the heart of the civilised world. As his upbringing was harsh, sometimes bordering on violent, he understands the necessity of such tools to run a modern organisation.

He was sent as a neophyte to the province of Dasar to help spread the righteous faith as well as see to some disturbing news about priests gone missing. The former leader Father Minuvas had suddenly stopped reporting back and the Mother Church was worried that Lochwar´s ways would be ignored, or even forgotten, if the prescence of a proper clergyman were not present in Cear.
It was actually not his place to become a replacement for Minuvas, but fate seemed to hold otherwise. His superior was murdered on the road by bandits and as he arrived in Cear, he found the temple in Thralls Gate had no authority that claimed the rank of priest. He quickly dazzled the others in the temple with his modern ways and true Varanite blood and became a leading member of the congregation.

But the gods... had another purpose in mind for Father Arghivius.

Something happened to Marrent Arghivius as he after several years of herding the convergation in Thralls gate shifted his foot and questioned the Varanite Church. Few would acknowledge him for what he once was - a traitor and blasphemer in the eyes of Varana Marrent Arghivius has turned on his old church for reasons kept to himself.

Thaum Cedros devoted monk to Lochwar

Thaum Cedros did awake in a dark pit. He remembered nothing from his past or why he was in this place. It was like a dark void in his mind of total emptiness from all his memories.

Only some small light comes from the some torches on the walls around him. He looked around from the table he laid on. Dead guards lay around in the room and he felt great rage in his chest not fear upon the site of the body’s around him. They looked liked they had died in horror because the Eyes was all transfixed at the Thaum himself. And Thaum felt pleasure.

Thaum realised that he himself was a prisoner here, tortured for some information he didn’t remember. Suddenly a mighty thunderous voice yet soft and gentle in his head started to speak and flashes of images appeard in the empty void of his memory.

-Thaum Cedros you have been chosen! Serve me I who am the king of gods the one that is named LOCHWAR. Find the temple find my most loyal priest, he who shall be your mentor and guide. Serve me and your past shall be revealed and you shall get your REVENGE!

He gritted his teeth when he started to move realising that the shackles that hold him was open. He fled from the darkness up to the land above, disoriented he roamed the countryside with a burning rage that could not be culled. Corpses followed his path due to his uncontrollable anger. The killing itself was not a problem but felt guilt when it was innocent people suffered from his wrath.
He needed help to find the temple of Lochwar. But which temple? He new that once he was there at the right place the flashes och pictures still hunting him in his dreams would guide him.

He didn’t find this holy place in the small villages he travelled thru. But one day when he felt he’s sanity almost had gone by anger and an uncontrollable desire of revenge. He saw the temple of Lochwar. The images of his vision had guided him, it was exactly as the pictures and flashes in his troubled mind. And when he meet Father Arghivius he just new that this man was supposed to be his mentor that the voice had told him about.

And accepted he was…

A great storm of thunder and flashes erupted inside the temple when he plaid loyalty to the god who had saved him. Lochwar was pleased.

Now he is one of the most devoted of Lochwars children and his rage has been easier to contain with the help of the faith in his god and guidence by Father Marrent Arghivius. But the burning feeling of revenge is still there, and may Lochwar have mercy on the poor souls of those responsible for the injustice brought upon him.

Ismael Baalzamon
Image

Born in Aucklorn Mill some years before the sacking of Daris. Ismael is the son the Jy-Lin Uza and the demonlord Baalzamon taken human form. His mother had dealt with this demon to aid in the destruction of the Dasarian Kingdom. To seal the pact between them she let the demonlord in to the physical world and gave him the body of a man so she could give him a son to continue his legacy. Uza and Baalzamon worked themself up as heroes of dasaria when they secretly was agents of the empire. Ismael was involved in the their schemes to learn the way of Baalzamon.

But at an age of six the father vanquished in a great turmoil when angry peasant and soldiers found out his unholy nature and how he had decived them. His Mother was captured as well and only Ismael was spared due to his young age. He was taken in at a fosterhome in Aucklorn. As he grows he realized that he could bend reality around him. Ismael started to hear a voice from beyond speaking in riddles about his father and that started a obsession to find him, perhaps he was still alive? The village people started to look with fearful eyes as the boy grow in power. His fosterparents shunned Ismael and he was trown out on the street. Now an orphan he hide from the world desperately trying to survive.

The voice from beyond still spoke to him and he realized that if he followed them, his understanding of the power inside would grow. He started to see himself as someone far more than a mere mortal. He changed his last name so the legacy of would continue, he was now Ismael son of Baalzamon.

When he reached 40s he had become a power to be reckoned. He roomed the land and all lesser beings hide from his presence. The villagers dared not approach him and shut the doors and windows when he entered the villages. He finaly found a way to not only use the demonic powers but also arcane and divine, but not as a wizard or cleric would, he instead carved in the runes in to his very flesh that merged with his eldricht power. His final goal of personal power was then almost complete. Only one things was not complete, to gain the form of his father. He succeded in to find a ritual were all eldricht, arcane and divine powers could be combine and transform his lesser demonic form to the demonic precence of a demonlord.

At the height of his power he dealt with three mighty demons that had forged an alliance between them. The deal was struck to find his father. The task was to kill a high ranking noble of great importance. The praise for failure was his very soul if he failed. It was a setup, the noble was already dead when he found him… So even if he was dead he wasn’t killed by Ismaels hand so technically it was a failure.

So he was taken to another dimension and tortured for 12 long years and they shattered his soul and sucked out the enormous eldricht powers he possessed. The soul was then merged in to three crystals shards and shared between the demons to gain controll of him. For what and how Ismael didnt know. He didnt even know their names or how many their were. only that someone or something tried to controll him and that they under certain situations succeded.

But one day a demon imp came to his otherworldly prison and freed him he told him that he was fate and legacy wasnt finished. Strangely the voice of the critter felt somehow familiar. And so he was saved from the otherwordly plane. Only a fraction of his power was left when he woke up outside Caer. His first task was to regain his lost powers and he has partly succeded in. Still the form of his father is missing and Ismael still search for a solution. But the soulshards was his first and foremost task to regain. Without it he was vulnerable to the influences and controls of the demonic possessors, and the would pay for what they done. When this things had settle it will be time to continue the fathers legacy. Who was worty.. who was the strong, what mortals empire should he aid and who should fall.

Under strange circumstances Marrent Arghivius gained posession over the crystals and merged them into one. Ismael was now bound to the will of his new master. The Cainites is now the power that shall rise from war and chaos, the corruption and stagnation of the empire must end.

Aalric Stormbeard
Race: Dwarf
Occupation: Spellsword, Runemaster & Elder of the Stormbeard Clan
Preferences: Necromancy, hates bandits and duergar, distrusts clerics, especially Lochwarians

Aalric is a Dwarven spellsword - a rare profession for his race.

When he was a lad his village was destroyed during a duergar raid. Aalric was 1 of the few survivors. He ran to the nearest cleric, a Lochwarian and begged him to resurrect his family and the slain villagers. The cleric refused unless he could pay a kingly amount of gold.

Ever since Aalric has been obsessed with magic. He wants to find a way to unlock the secrets of life and death without having to rely upon the whims of clerics or fickle deities. This has inevitably led him to the study of necromancy and often leads to internal conflicts within, because Aalric is basicly a good natured Dwarf and necromancy can have a currupting influence on its practitioners.

He is a strong believer in law and order and hates bandits. He is naturaly distrustful of clerics, especially Lochwarians. He is secretly fostering a belief amongst his cast that there is no true pantheon of deities, just some powerful creatures that have duped most people to worship them. Aalric would ideally like nothing better than to bring the entire pantheon crashing down...

Euldrich's story begins 583 years after the Minilsuzyan ascension, though such a number or the event it tracks has only recently formed a meaning for him. His history is interminably enshrined within the now subjugated Kingdom of Dasaria; a half-elf of over seventy years, Euldrich witnessed the birth and death of that kingdom, from the reclamation of Siril's throne in 579, to its inevitable yet tragic destruction four years later. Fifty years of Varanite rule in the province has not been kind to Euldrich's demeanour—the man that plied the roads of Dasar is entirely different to the one that now stalks the cobbled streets of Cear.

Euldrich—or Eric to his acquaintances—identified himself as a horse trader from the pastures of Corda, a provincial city famed for its wonderfully adaptable breeds of horse. Cordan mounts have always been in high demand throughout the now defunct kingdom, and that has not changed. Representing the other half of a co-owned and operated herd of horses, Euldrich arrived on the peninsula of Cear in order to attract a larger market for the legendary steeds; indeed, though Euldrich talks often of his business and his horses, it seems to begin and end with simple conversation, with very little in the way of actual business manifesting.

Euldrich's real purpose for operating within the Eastern capital is unquestionably personal; old phantoms from the Great War have led him to the coastal metropolis in search of his sister, Valerie, who was captured by a Varanite Imperial vanguard fifty years ago and not seen since. His past talents as a tracker, intelligence officer and law enforcer have been kind to him in his pursuits. Methodically and cautiously, he has followed lead after lead, making his way across the continent on the heels of his sibling.

Having reached an unfortunate crossroads, Euldrich remains within the city, waiting for an opportunity to find more information on his captive sister. Believed to be held deep within the political district, far from the public eye, he has no choice but to remain close. In the interim, he has made inroads in his search for like-minded political contemporaries, for though Valerie remains his primordial objective, other oaths, promises and allegiances weigh heavily on his conscience.
