Celestia - The Good, the Bad, and the Canite

Post by Domina »

*Sitting with the giants looking at her Singing Sword in the evening moonlight after the events at Cear*
((DM Loki and DM Kitty = awesome))

"What is happening...is this what I should expect from now on? The war has taken is toll on many innocent people. But I think the one thing that disturbed me the most was something that Canite undead told me...it worried me greatly."

Canite: My master wishes you to know that long has he watched you.

Celestia: Which master is this?

Canite: He has watched as you have struggled with your unrequited love of the criminal Darion Crimson.

Celestia: *Puts a hand through her hair* I see...

Canite: His time for watching your pain is almost at an end.

Celestia: My...pain...

Canite: *Boney grin* That is my message... *walks off*

"I played this thought in my head a dozen times or so. I wish the canite game me a name...maybe it would ease my mind knowing the enemy or stalker at least. They know that I love Darion. They know the feeling in my heart. They know...about me. I know that I have sought out Darion's love for a deal of time and know how he ...feels... in return. But this doesn't feel right. That Canite...it wasn't right. They even came to Cear and almost BURNED down the MistyVale Inn. Many people were on fire and...and...what am I to think about all this. But the worst part about their message...is a whisper that came to my mind as we were putting out the fires..."

"Fitting that I deliver this message to you as your city burns"

"How do I react to that? How do I feel? How do I get over such a disturbing message? They even almost killed Josh Swift. I was barely able to make it in time to treat his wounds! I could not bring my self to look at him after the pain he suffered."

"Even the base of the Dasarian rebels were attacked in Lendose! We all fought off the 5 demons that cared to kill everyone, but Baraan, Two Champions of Light and I managed to fight them off. They were very kind, and I think they were even offering me to join them! Rei's blessing is also what kept Darion's Mind monster at bay and they even slayed a great demon. I think this would be a great honor. I think this thought has kept my moral up."

*Examines her blade and applies some pressure to change the tone of the humming*

"I wonder what Darion, Sam and Selene will think of this. I havent seen Darion since...since that kind evening in Daris where my heart was beating so hard. But I have to tell him this news. He has to know. This "Monster" is aimed for something other than a city or battle...something personal in me."

*Lays back in the grass near her blade*

"I think I should rest before I head to find him tomorrow. I need to be rested for the brutal events to come. I have to be ready. I ...have to be...ready. I....be..rea...Darion...."

Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us wear the armor of light.

Even as she drifts into dreamland, the images of Darion become twisted. His face is not kind, but rather savage and splattered with blood. Locked in the dream, Celestia cannot help but watch as he brutally murders a family over and over again. Then, a voice, a kind one.

This is your hope? This is what you try and save?

Her view shifts violently, she is looking down at herself, resting there, the singing sword lying in the grass beside her. Something is different however. She notices it when it moves. A shadow lies across her, the shadow of, perhaps, a man? The shadow's face moves over hers, and the mouth of the shadow comes to her ear.

Celestia watches her own body stir uncomfortably.

Yes. Rest. Open your mind and thoughts to me. For all your will, you are powerless here. I can see the pain you feel. Can he stop the pain? No. No he cannot. But I can. I can free you from it so that you never need feel such rejection again. We will talk again. Yes. As we have so many night in the past, we will talk again soon, my Celestia.

It was gone, and the blackness of sleep returned.

*Locked in Darion's arms in the Giant's hill*

"I didn't feel completely safe for the first time with Darion...
Those whispers in my mind as he hesitantly held me and even now, keeps me at a certain distance. The whispers called me out on his gesture...it called to his distance of me. I wanted to push him, but be close to him at the same time. I don't know what to think. My body is shaking. He can feel it. He can feel my nervousness...my passion for him. Even as he shouted against the evils of Canas and for causing me so much pain, I still feel somewhat vulnerable."

"It called him a child killer...but...but he isn't! It was that demon in his mind that did it before Nightwig destroyed it. It could not have been him! I refuse to believe it! Yet...I keep seeing that face. I want him to hold me all night...I want him to keep me safe, to keep me from harm, to keep me..."

"He told me to stay true to myself, and that everyone is here for me. Perhaps I will look into myself and try to find some sort of light. I will see these Champions of Light and maybe I can steel my heart for what comes...just maybe"
