Battletide Haste still bugged?
Battletide Haste still bugged?
Been away from the game for awhile - thinking of coming back. Has anything about the new changes made the haste on battletide more reliable?

Nothing wrong with optimization, in my book. You could still max/min and roleplay well...roleplay is not determined on how strong or weak your character is, it is determined by how well you place yourselves into the shoes of your character and how you make it fun for yourself and others around you. Really folks, don't take this game way too hard core...relax a bit.

yeah... what you say is true... personally i don't min/max much, because i think characters weaknesses help define them, and i'll often play level up choices by ear, as my character develops, but it also kind of depends on the personality of the character... if they are a hardened warrior, whos main goal is to become the best they can be at what they do, i'm more likely to be a little more anal about the "build", because prowess in combat is something that would be a priority for them... others have various choices that are mostly just for RP, like taking Blooded as a starting feat to justify becoming a Warlock, or taking the background of Troublemaker because it fits, even though it plunges my already abysmal will save down to -3...Forlorn wrote:Nothing wrong with optimization, in my book. I wouldn't remake just because of practiced spellcaster etc... You don't need to be optimal as has been said.
But RP or not, the source of your haste is pretty much non-negotiable for me. If you are a caster/melee you gotta have haste and it has to be reliable. Pretty much my only non-negotiable nuts and bolts thing.

Srsly. It's not like he's doing LARP.lankycheese wrote:There's still a G in RPG. Some people enjoy the problem solving of making a working character build. Just because you don't know how doesn't mean it's wrong.

Thanks.
As I have said before, most things aren't a big deal. But your haste source is critical IMO. And yes, I feel the mod would be better with nobody having haste ever. But since that won't happen, i'll be darned if I'm gonna be all slow while the druids, bards, warlocks, and mages speed on by me. Sure, haste is a team spell now usually, but I don't want to rely on somebody else for something that critical when the ability is within my classes purview.
