I was all excited until " the expansion is being codeveloped in association with Iron Lore Entertainment, the studio that developed the action role-playing game Titan Quest for THQ last year."
Titan quest was purely a rip off of Diablo 2 and was so chock full of bugs it makes nwn2 look flawless.

Well the army list is getting smaller and they have always said Tyranids could not be done justice with the current dawn of war engine.Stormknife wrote:It's gotta be Tyranids. I don't know what other options there really are besides maybe Sisters of Battle.
Sad part is there are all of 4 "armies" left from the official army listing and if you take dark eldar off that list because they are officially "announced" then you only have three.
Tyranids, Daemonhunters, Witch Hunters.
Relic has consistently said no Tyranids for this engine but maybe for Dawn of War 2. Daemonhunters are mostly represented in the Space Marine army anyways as the Grey Knight unit, and the Witch Hunters.. well I can only hope if they add them in that they adopt the Witch Hunter mod that is already being worked on as it looks better than any stock race.
I'm officially stumped unless they pull something out of their bums like a Lost and the Damned army, or perhaps they are creating an alternate Imperial Guard army.. Steel Legion? Death Korps of Krieg? Something that does not use the Cadian template.

Hrm. I forgot about the millions of flavors of Imperial Guard. Maybe a full on Inquisition army? They do have an Inquisitor model in the first campaign, after all. Adeptus Mechanicus, mebbe? Not that they're an official army, but you could probably have one without too much trouble.I'm officially stumped unless they pull something out of their bums like a Lost and the Damned army, or perhaps they are creating an alternate Imperial Guard army.. At least they're adding air units. That's the one thing that DoW was missing. Yes, I'm a bit of an air force whore.

Heh, when you put it that way it sounds nice but see, I was a competitive multiplayer in DoW.
With DC they fucked up the balance totally. They never fixed, never even tried, they patched it once and ignored it.
And they've continued that fine tradition with Opposing fronts. The games so unbalanced its ridiculous, it makes online play an utter joke.
And yes the single player was "interesting" But in reality most of what was added to the game was half assed, they left out a great deal of content that they never bothered to finish.
