+4 weapons vs *insert race here*

Howdy guys, I was curious if we could maybe get some weapons that did either a +4 to hit towards a specified race or maybe 1D6 extra on damage verses Rian elves or Dark elves(vise versa).

I think specifically the example I gave with the elves is very probably to see since you have two races that loathe each other. Maybe this could also be where specific races could only craft the type of weapon, which then could give even some more RP possibilities for creating a someone that would be able to build such weapons.

Example: Rian elves could make Tel'gothrim Bane weapons. Or something along those lines.

Yo Gabba Gabba!... is that possible? i can see a +4 weapon towards fey..but none is against dark elves...? *smite evil* on those evil creatrures and slap them hard*

The idea is a fine one. I'd like to see some unique Das lore around that item too.

The bonuses you're proposing are too high though -- One or the other bonus (at 1d4, not 1d6 though) on an iron weapon would be more appropriate, e.g., +2, +4 vs. Dark Elves, or +2 1d4 dmg bonus vs. Dark Elves. There are some other things along those lines in the game, but this would still be a high level weapon, really limited to a few high level quest areas.

If you're interested in your contributions being seen around earlier in the character lifecycle, I'd recommend something more like +1/+2 vs. dark elves, or +1 +2dmg vs. dark elves.

Harquin gave it a good try! He might need a few more levels before he tackles the big bad wolf again though lol!

Well if I could just a vial of Hyel's Blood for Cytheria I think she could really do something evil with it.

I think that there could be some great Das lore for any of these items. Hell I had a great night with a Holy avenger sword making some stuff up on the fly and it turned out to be one helluvah unique time. Ofcourse there was a DM involved as it is hard to RP a Solar beating the crap out of you :)

What would be interesting is if it was possible for every weapon and armour a specific race makes gets a special bonus against their bane enemy. For example, if Hyel made a sword his sword would get +2 damage against Tel'Gothrim, armour +1 AC. They wouldn't be powerful, but they would be on all weapons and armours. Let each race have their bane, like Dwarves may be Goblinoids or Orcs and Humans Tel'Gothrim, and Gnomes Tel'Gothrim and ... Oh sorry, I mean Humans could be undead, and Gnomes: Giants or something.

I like the idea. But I kinda still wish that it also required a certain element. So that not every weapon a rian elf made was a bane against a dark elf, unless they added that ingredient. That ways it gives the option for races to have a certain advantage over another especially in crafting. Or not to try and make things even crazier, but let's say their crafting skill is less for such a skill.

example: Hyel can enchant a weapon, but needs X skill while Izzul needs X + 5 or something. I know enchanting and crafting are two different beast, but I am wondering if there was a way to still require a limit for building such a thing.

Maybe toss in some extra ingredient while crafting. The ingredient can be attuned to the race, for example Rian elves can use the sapphire, and when its used any race can add a bane against Tel'Gothrim.
