I am neither Steve Buscemi, Brad Pitt or Inigo Montoya.

I am an engineer by day, and a farmer every other time of the day. I am also the mommy to a very adventurous, boisterous, maddening yet adorable toddler. My gaming time is limited due to the above three occupations.

I'm a manufacturing/supplier quality engineer by day. I enjoy it, but it's what pays the bills and keeps a roof over our head. My husband and I really do live on a functional farm, and we raise lamb, chicken, turkey and have a greenhouse and fruit tree orchard. Because of our day jobs, the plants suffer, and we are not very successful in growing things, but the animals do well. I am envious that my little girl gets to grow up on a farm surrounded by animals. I also love to bake, can (yes, like jams and jellies and pickles and stuff), and I like to sew clothes for my daughter. She has the coolest Halloween costumes that way!!


My husband is currently unemployed, which is why you may see him online often. I can't play nearly as often due to work/farm/kid responsibilities but i am hooked, and with winter rolling around, I'll have more free time in the evenings.

And after reading some of the other posts here... I feel old or something. I didn't start gaming until I met my husband when I was 30. We used to play NWN when I travelled for work as a way to stay connected when I wasn't at home. He took a break for a long time and went back to Kohan, but he discovered Dasaria, and now we are both hooked again.

So, if you are playing with us, even though I know I am rusty and play very poorly, if I disappear and become non responsive, I am probably dealing with a child, or even dealing with an animal issue. No offence to anyone on the server, but children and animals come first and if my char gets killed, so be it. So yes, I am generally distracted even when trying to play. if anyone knows how to get a toddler to go to bed before 10PM, I'd love the tips!

Tablespoon of bourbon will do the trick every time. Tends to get you a few hours at the very least. Just be sure to give them plenty of other fluids as well and it's all good.

Hmmmm when read your comment ditkadog i felt we have something common. Well i live also in farm and we have some animals but only horses, chicken's and off course cats and one dog. But i'm that unemployed one in our family (been many year now) but we did arranged whit my wife when we have 3 small kid too that i stay home whit them and raise them on days so wife (she much younger than i) can work. So i been playing here some years now. I had some time in days when kids was playing "own stuff" (its easier when have more that one kid when them play each other) and after them went sleep (9 PM in our time and we had ever no problem get them bed in that time, even them sleep almost every morning to 9 AM...lol ) so i had more time play in nights again. But now i have had some bigger renovations going on (4-5 month) so my time have spend whit that and had no time to play much and later when come in to my home, so been too tired to log in. Well i have least tryed to be every Sunday to play whit my faction "mates". Soon (i hope) i'm almost done whit our "Sauna" renovation and winter is near to come so maybe then i have again more time to play. Real life can sometime cast something different what we used to see but then its make same time it interesting. Well like my boys had last night earache so today we must drive in city to see doctor to get cure so that's main event to us today and cant renovate nothing today but its okey when its only life.

Well since I have an abundance of time on my hands this morning and I'm trolling through the forums, I'll update this.

My name is Eric and I'm 27, I live in Northeast Ohio, not to far from Cleveland(Booo!). I'm a rather odd mix of a guy my closest friends might say. I am a die-hard avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and American Football in general. I enjoyed some success in football and wrestling while in highschool. I went on to wrestle at college before injuring my lower back. I enjoy politics to some degree, debates, sports trivia and of course D&D, fantasy and science fiction. I have always enjoyed writing, reading and discussion. My love for gaming and fantasy/sci-fi comes from growing up with an older brother with the same interests. I grew up loving watching my brother play RPGs and D&D, something about creative openness and customizing has always appealed to me. I found Dasaria1 in late Sept of 2001 and have been here ever since. I have met some really interesting and inspiring people here, some long gone and others who are still fighting the good fight .

I consider myself a practicing writer, a hobby of mine since grade school as well as a passion. I enjoy the lore more then the game (All games) itself I must admit, but the gaming itself I still hold in high regard. Roser (A longtime Dasarian and RL friend) and I have held almost exclusively to the dwarven heritage here in Dasaria and enjoy seeing the low-folk get love, no matter who shows it (Woot Woot Clan StormBeard). I am a mix between a heavy rper most of the time and powergamer at other times, depending on my mood. I enjoy writing lore, item builds, quest hooks, etc...anything that provides more depth to this already awesome server.

As anyone else, I go through some lulls and have been absent from time to time over the years due to RL obligations, one in which is my proudest. My son.

I have a 2 year old son named Connor who will be 3 in May and is an absolute godsend. He is my biggest inspiration in everything I do and for that I am ever thankful. I am upset he doesn't share my love of Pizza and Tacos (Yet) but I have brought him to the awesomeness that is Chocolate Milk, hehe. I also love anything spicy (The more intense the better) and to my surprise he enjoys spicy too! (Hot fries, hot cheetos). He is far brighter then I could imagine, and I love every bit of it. I will one day introduce him to Dasaria, when he is ready, hehe. (We'll be on Dasaria 6 or 7 by then ).

Someday I would like to own my own business and give back to the people who have always been beside me in my life. I have good friends and good family and am extremely proud to be born in PA.

Honorable Mention: Three gentlemen from Aussieland and the Dasarian Community have inspired me to visit Australia no matter what, it's a top my list of things to do. All I need is a hammock and a whole hell of a lot of sun screen, this guy is to German/Irish not to burn, heh.
