Tournament!

Well. Some of you know I've done tournaments in the past. Some you don't. I can assure you they were awesome. I can assure you this because only explorer can contradict me, and I can feed him alcohol to get him to not talk about it, making me the only one commenting on them. Anyways, moving on to things that are actually relevant, how do you guys feel about us maybe getting together and holding ourselves one? I'd probably be using the old ruleset, with a bit of provisions, and obviously the faction system will make this difficult. What say you, Dasarians? Interested? Boring? Impartial?

I have thought about sponsoring one. I have a fair amount of crafting stuff, and it would be fun to offer good weapons or armor to the winners.

That said, if you put it when I can come, I'll bring Kor (My only non-spellcasting character), unless of course you allow spellcasting and prebuff, then I'll bring Firin.

I could probably also sponsor the tournament, or at the least sell you some high end items from my store for dirt cheap.

The old ruleset will, more or less, be the basis for it. Off the top of my head, it allows people I think 2 prebuffs, with buffing allowed in battle. However, certain things like HIPS have limitations placed on them to make them a bit more fair and realistic, such as requiring darkness to be able to be used, or some other obfuscating spell. Etherealness, as well, was also disallowed, for a vareity of reasons, not the least of which being that shifting to another plane is retreating from the place of battle.

Hmmm flashbacks a plenty, I remember at one of the first ones after putting Allaric down... Again Jherod rambled on for ages challenging everyone pity he got uber nerfed oh well. Ah crap now I miss a hole bunch of people that used to be there.... was fun burning all the audience by mistake that RP turned into an amusing cooking class lol

I could probably get a bunch of Dwarves to attend, you may have heard of them. Be warned though a certain DM doesn't like his big bad monsters losing too much and "accidentally" leaves one on invulnerable to everything even the magic spoon didn't do any damage lol fun times. I couldn't do a caster one again my current graphic's card would fry.

Do the old rules allow for a group fight or two???? That could be fun and get some factions there maybe hold in a neutral warehoues in Morrel?

Since it was input normally it's done in the Arena it was like it was made to order. There's usually a very fun and very messy Free-4all brawl at the end though that depends on if Bobzim is still about otherwise we all end up dead again one of thinks we've won and suddenly thwack Bobzim wins funny stuff though because he waits until you start celebrating your victory.

I may have to return just to make Explorer eat those words.... Even though there's a kernel of truth to what he said. The new HIPS rules would make it a bit harder for my battle rogue to dominate like the last tourney I played. If Explorer is there and fully beer goinkled, I may just show up after all these years.
