In the Sacred Grove

Post by Farwalker »

Victor Koepf, priest of Utu, arrives in the hills near Stormhold, home of the Stormbeards. He enters the Sacred Grove and sees one dwarf sitting there.

"Good morning Stormbeard. I am Victor Koepf, knight of the Argentum Vigilo, cleric of Lord Utu, and follower of the Dragon Darion Crimson. I am searching for Archdruid Lagnapis Stormbeard. I come in the name of the Dragon Darion Crimson to ask the Archdruids help."

The druids watches carefully the new arrived guest. He decided to not reveal his real personality. The past few months made him loyal to friends and the Clan, but he was very careful in the contacts with the strangers. He became to present himself as a dwarf that he was been before he felt asleep long time ago....

Welcome mister Victor. I am Lagnar Stormbeard. Why do you seek the druid? And who is that Darion?

Lagnapis didn't lied about his personality, his real name was Lagnar, but he lied about Darion. He knew the knight, he knew him very good and he remembered the news about Darion. However he decided to test his guest, he could be a servant of the Canites.

He grabbed a mug of mead and began to drink ignoring his guest.

Well speak up? Whazz is that ya want, priest?

The man glowing of raident light even in the light of the clear morning kindly and respectfully speaks.

"My Dragon Darion Crimson in his war against the Ji Lyn demons, that my Lord Utu, having been offended by the Ji Lyn and commanded that I aid the Dragon Darion Crimson, has to his regreat injured the Silverwind Tree in Aucklorn Mill when passing into the realm of the Ji Lyn.

My Dragon has asked that I come here and ask that the Archdruid help us in healing the Silverwind Tree. I am here to ask that the Archdruid will meet with my Dragon."

At the words of about the Tree from the Aucklorn Mill, Lagnapis turned his back to the Tree in his own Grove and touched it gently. It energy was filling the grove with harmony. Lagnapis knew that the Silverwind Tree was placed deep in the dark valley. It was standing there alone and now it has been injured.

I am Lagnapis, the Archdruid of Ki. Tell your Dragon warrior that I will meet him, but for now please tell me more about the Tree. How bad is the situation?

Victor offers a polite bow. . .

"I cannot say just how injured the tree is. As I understand it is dying. It also concerns me, the Silverwind Tree is what keeps the curse of Korgov. I fear that if the tree dies, not only will the Korgov curse flood over that land and consume those people but the Ji Lyn will be freed from Pandemonium."

Lagnapis turns back to Victor. His eyes are watching him closely.

No need for bowing young one. I am not a Lord or a Prince from Cear, I'm just a simple servant of my Mother Ki. I just began to believe in her much more than a simple person and she granted me just a sparkle of her power. Just call me Lagnapis, or if you want the "hivemaster" which would give me much pleasure.

Lagnapis biggest hobby was keeping his bees in the hives. He remembered how he went with his Clan ti capture them. From this moment he began to love them with all his strength and will. From this moment the became the loyal servant of Iaosia .

Bring your Darion here, if he is still alive. He will have to explain what are the Ji Lyn Witches and where is this Pandemonium. I think I have something in mind, that maybe can help the valley but I am not sure about the tree. We will try to figure out something.

Lagnapis knees and reaches in backpack.

Yes this might help...time will show...

"Thank you Archdruid. I will bring the Dragon Darion Crimson here to you."

Victor leaves the grove and with his passing it seems that many of the plants have sprung up a bit. It would seem they were thankful for the extra light.

The elven huntress arrives at the grove battered as per usual, but in higher spirits this time. Today she had caught the most elusive foe of all: knowledge. Kneeling at the base of the altar, she presents hastily copied texts to the archdruid Lagnapis and his companions. Her expression turns briefly grim and she does so; clearly she means it as a warning.

Lagnapis reads the note carefully. He was concentrated on the message. When he have finished, he watched at the elf.

Thank you miss. You bring not to good news, but your person still brings happiness to this land. The witches are a great threat to this lands it seems. We must wait for the Dragon warrior and the priest, Victor and discuss this problem together. My power might not be enough to make the ritual at the Aucklorn Mill.

For now lets wait for our companions, they should be here soon. And I will try to find a solution in a prayer to our Mother.

The dwarf knees before the altar and begins his prayer. He is whispering and his whisper is being carried by the wind far away to every living being in the lands of Dasaria.
