The Birth of a Nation
Hey guys! So some of you have probably met the charismatic Frenchman known as Jacques Chevrier and you've probably been wondering "Where in Das is this Frenchman from?". Well rest assured you're not the only one who's been wondering this, because I have been too! Seeing as France doesn't exist as place in the Dasaria 2 I've been finding it hard to determine where he would be from. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or recommendations as to what I should do. As of right now I can really only think of two options. A: There's a place in Das that is similar to France and Jacques could say he is from there (Problem solved!) or B: I create my own nation and histories and what not. I'm putting this up on the forums to get some feedback on what you guys think as a community about this and also to help me brainstorm some ideas. Thanks in advance!

Re: The Birth of a Nation
Best thing I can think of is have him be from an Old Varana Province. I had the same issue when creating my Doctor Gustav (See video below for his inspiration) when making hi have a German accent. Seems there are a few others with his accent (An Arena Master and a Colonel in Section Six). Might be interesting to make it so these two peoples with be from the same Old Varana Province with them perhaps being rival kingdoms at war with each other for centuries until both being weakened they were both conquered and annexed by the Varanite Empire long ago, yet the bitter rivalries still remain. just an idea that could be expanded upon by members here, perhaps it could even be implemented in game with a messenger being sent from that province asking for aid of materials or some such by sea from Dasaria to help the last bastions of their resistance (the French of German speaking parts of the former province have split from the collapsed Varanite Empire and are working together to free their lands of the Canites, yet the old rivalries still remain). just an idea
Oh, and here is the promised inspiration for Doctor Gustav.
