Bobfred21, your new overlor... your new... uh... guy

[Bobfred21]

Hey everyone, just figured I'd introduce myself a bit more thoroughly after talking to some of you in the IRC last night.

I'm a 23 year old male living in a small town in Northern Ontario (looking to relocate to Toronto in the near future).

I'm currently working part time at a coffee shop while I try to find a way to break into a real job, so my hours are a bit sporadic, but I'm sure you'll learn to forgive me.

I'm new to NWN2, literally down loading the game for the first time as I type this out, but I used to be a prominent member of a an RP PW in the original NWN called the Savage Frontier. I played there for about 5-6 years and DMed for about 4 of those years, so I'm more than familiar with the way these kinds of PW tend to work, both from the perspective of a player and as an administrator.

Outside of NWN I've been into D&D and role playing literally my whole life, though I don't get to play as much D&D as I'd like - but that's life.

In short, I'm no stranger to the concept, although I'll need to take some time to learn the mechanics.

As far as what kind of player I am, I tend toward complicated character back stories which leave a lot of details intentionally vague with lots of plot hooks for DMs to sink their teeth into (on that note, when I get rolling with some characters, the DMs/other players should feel free to harass me at will). I'm a bit of a power gamer in that I like to have an effective character and have a knack for system mastery, but the role playing will always come first for me, so you can expect me to have a reasonably powerful character without being over the top cheesy.

I'm a pretty hard core role player myself, I like to be involved in the community, both IC and OOC, so I'm sure you'll all become familiar with me in short order.

In short, I'm no stranger to the idea of an RP PW and I'm very excited to be getting back into it, I had a lot of really fantastic memories in the original NWN on an RP server and I hope to make many more here.

Welcome! Say hello on IRC if you need a hand. If you're moving to Toronto I would say to build up a couple months worth of savings. Our job market isn't terrible but rent is can be tough if you're between jobs.
