Grove of Sadness

Post by Domina »

*Cel and Darion sit alone together near a small controlled fire by the grove near the water. They both seem rather disturbed by the whole news. Both showing their affliction in their own way after Daniel revealed that Sammil and Shayde had exchanged affection, Darion decides to confront his love and ...friend soon. They were not able to exchange words so far as their shock was rather fresh.*

*Cel's side*

She sits against a tree with her legs stretched out and crossed. Her arms are held together as she occasionally looks up to Darion. Some flashbacks taking her on occasion, she remembers the time she had last seen him as such. It made her depressed and want to run away to Lendose to clear the madness, but she couldn't leave Darion. Once he was like this before and she refused to leave. Now again...she refuses to leave him to do this alone. It was odd but it was the first time in over a year she wanted to be close and comfort him in this time.

She keeps looking up at him...wondering what lingers in his mind this moment as her sword hums very low.

For some odd reason or none, he wouldn't have thought that Celestia of all people would sit here now, with him.
But it was clear... she was as good a friend as she had been back then.

Not that he could focus much on that at this moment.
Sammil Card... Shayde... his Shayde...

It was too much.

Though no tears came from his dragonlike eyes, his dark vortex of feelings was easy to see.

It didn't take a genius to see the swirls of emotions dancing in his draconic eyes. To see the flames of the tinder skip and reflect off his vision. Cel sat still and unmoving for over an hour as if the slightest movement would break the ground made of glass.

A slight of hair fell into her face, but she could only look on the man who shined proudly that day at the beach side. How Daniel's words bore a hole in his mind to which he couldn't even move for a moment. She felt sick and had threw up in the furnace at the inn. Everything was still as if Ki herself hushed the surrounding area...only the wind to blow a soothing life for the fire and the hint of citrus from the lady.

\\ no idea what you're talking about. is this a coded message or something? you might want to drop some exposition if this is meant for consumption by readers 100 years from now. if it's a private message, take it to PMs.

Shayde looked for Darion around Ravenswatch where she had seen him briefly that evening when they were comforting Reina, but there was no sign. She set off for Cear; perhaps he had gone to her home.

She was uneasy; he had seen immediately that something was bothering her, but she had not had a chance to talk to him...and if word got to him any other way...She urged her horse on, faster, toward the little cottage by the Docks.

He suddenly blinks, and only fire remains in his eyes.
As he rises, he speaks: "This is ridiculous... I need to hear her version before doing anything else. If Shayde has truly been unfaithful, I want to hear it from her."

He looks at Cel.
"Thank you again... but there is no need for you to witness this. It will do you no good."
He then starts walking towards the main road.
