Appearance changer issues after big update July 5th, 2014

Cloth appearance armor changer:

If you go forward (next), at some point the convo will say that you cannot change the variation for this item anymore.



If you go backwards (previous) through all options, the color is going to shoot to bright red, which also indicates a bug.



(Also; going back through the options will make a wild Sigrid appear apparently.)

Maybe I should take a shadowdancer level...

At least with females:

- I can't go backwards from the first dress in the "clothes" category.

- Banded helms bug around the middle (i.e. you can only change a few models forward and a few backwards, but not go around entirely). No new bug, though.

- The quiver cloak model is sometimes invisible or transparent.

The red colouring thing Kell mentions has been a random bug for as long as I can tell. But maybe there's a method to it in some cases.

The amount of duplicate items seems to have shot up since the new clothes got in. I had to bin 3 copies of Ardaion's armor yesterday because of duplication. Yvalee's Drakkan robes been copied twice too, plus Ardaion now has 2 hoods, instead of 1.

This was an issue before but it happened sporadically. It seems to have gotten much worse. At least for me.

I don't know what actually causes it.

Armor changes can get "stuck". I currently have a shoulderpad on Ardaion's armor that cannot be changed anymore. Don't know what causes it, but before the recent armor changes got in, it was customisable. I'll see if I can post a screenshot tonight.

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but I'll try to answer. What happens is that you change the items as per usual; you change them as you wear them. And when you're done crafting, you'll find x-amount of copies in your inventory.

The mannequin isn't in the game, at least currently. When you change the item's model with the appearance changer, I think you get a new version of the item and the old one is destroyed. Occasionally the latter doesn't happen, but it's very, very rare in my experience.

As for the "stuck" items, I've had that happen a few times too, and there was at least one time when I couldn't find a way to fix it and a DM replaced my bugged item for a working version.
