Item Set

Post by UltimaBoB »

Haven't played in awhile.

I'm wondering if decent headgear or boots or belts have been added yet?

No rush - I know there is much to do. Just curious.

Actually I haven't been able to play for about a week as I'm away on a trip. I'm interested in knowing if the new 14+ dungeon has been added.

There are enough farmers in there, I don't think we need lvl 15 guys running in the tower. At least I hope it's capped at 14

We already have characters who are at level 17, but not levelling so they can revisit the content, believe it or not.

so you can horde XP indefinitely and not level up LOL then level up like 3 times in a row?

So I take it, yeah, at 15 you are llocked out.

I am considering putting in a script that will reset your xp to whatever your level up limit is, but nothing has been implemented yet.

This wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. But it also isn’t really necessary at all. A level cap on the content is an organic level cap on the players. No one wants to be level 20 and forced to sit in town and do nothing, so even after players have accumulated enough exp to reach 20, they’ll remain at the highest level that gives them access to the most content.

All that being said, I’ve accumulated ‘extra’ levels, but would gladly give them up for more content at my current level. If you decided to take the route of skimming off excess experience, it might be helpful to remove level restrictions on areas (entry to areas, not quests), so everyone still has something to do.

Happy new year!

sadly, i have no idea what scripting is or how to do it, but this makes it sound as though my character wouldnt recieve the full amount of xp for completing a quest if he were at 2900/3000 xp and received 500 xp for the quest. as i said, im not really sure how the scripting works, but it seems like the character would lose out on 400 xp because of farmers :?

Exactly how would this help?

The passing level 20 bug is no longer exploitable, as NwN2's level cap is 20, so I don't see where this is going.

I think he is talking about those who have remained at lvl 14 to enter the tower even though they have enough xp to lvl up to 17 or so. Maybe a script on enter that eliminates all xp in excess of that required to reach your next level. This would keep anyone from saving more than 1 level worth of xp.

I really find this to be a despicable, dishonest practice.
