Legend by David Gemmel would be nice to see on the big screen, too.

Agreed, this is a fantastic book that I think would make a great movie.

Movies are a completely different art though, you can't compare the two at all. Of course a movie will not have every single tid bit of a book version, but that's not the point, the point is to capture the spirit and themes of a novel in a small 2-3 hour presentation. Books contain some of the greatest stories ever concieved and I think it's a damn awesome art to see the interpretations of these stories on the big screen.

Id love to see Battle Circle by Piers Anthony made into a movie

Also Ender's Game would be great to see which has been in the works for nearly a century.

Neuromancer by William Gibson too which also ended up in Film Production Limbo.

A few others to mention. The Black Company by Glen Cook. (Probably too epic for film)
The Necroscope Series by Brian Lumley this would be a great screenplay for that guy who keeps making great looking vampire movies but terrible plots, i.e. Underworld/Blood & Chocolate.

Cool, I got my guild to read Battle Circle in WOW. I also organized group Battle Circle battles between Horde & Alliance, we planned it all through a messenger client, we'd picked a remote area of the map to meetup and everyone in either guild sat and watched outside the ring as groups of 2 on 2 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 battled. It was great fun! Id always wanted WOW to implement group Dueling and I think they finally have with Burning Crusade, so that now teams on the same Alliance/Horde can duel in groups. Too bad I don't play anymore..

Also I've thought many times about trying to make a Battle Circle MOD for NWN. The thing that sucks in NWN is that you can't push a guy outside the ring. I thought I could make a ring of traps though and whoever accidentally moves outside the inner circle would trigger the trap and get knocked out. Of course there wouldn't be any magic accept for special FX in cases. But I never picked up and learned the scripting..*frown* Art & Design I can do though.
