Does no one listen to albums the whole way through anymore? I hate the shuffle generation.
Anyway, Toto I and IV have been in my CD player most recently, aswell as the first Boston album and Billy Joel 52nd Street. Also still giving Queen A Night At The Opera a thrashing. Toto rules though currently. ^^

Heh, I am of that dying breed that loves to own albums, I enjoy having a collection and the only song I've ever downloaded was 50pence, the pee take of 50 cent. Same with books and DVDs, I just love to be able to browse and put them on and I don't mind having to get up after it has finished and put another one on. My mp3 player only comes with me in the car or at work.
Never heard of Toto cheeseman, what style?

I'm exactly the same as you Mule, I love to have a large library collection, and to be able to browse through my vast archives. I hardly download music and I put on an album from start to finish!
And Toto are late 70's/80's arena rock. Basically they were a bunch of session players from LA who decided to actually become public with a few awesome albums. They're the band that plays on Thriller. Probably some of their best known singles would be Hold The Line, Rosanne and Africa.

Like many, he passed away too soon. Still considered by a lot of people the greatest and most influential drummer ever.
I've been a Toto fan for a very long time, mostly their early stuff, and I've seen them live several times (also when Jeff still was alive). I haven't listened to their more recent stuff, but Bobby Kimball is back again as their leadsinger.
Kingdom Of Desire is the last album with (and dedicated to) Jeff Porcaro. It's an amazing rockalbum. Steve Lukather doing most of the vocals as they got tired of finding a new leadvocalist and he does a good job.

Didn't TOTO do some of the Soundtrack to DUNE? That's one of my favorite movies, I watch it over and over so I gotta recognize that! The Brian Eno work in there is some of my favorite movie music though.
And in response to the Topic, There's a Simon Posford project called Younger Brother Im really loving as some of the best electronic music I've heard in ages. Also if you like classical world music in the italian genre. I've recently been turned onto a band called Spaccanapoli. (Think of an Italian Dead Can Dance) great stuff!
