1.04 and DM Quests

Post by Forlorn »

Now that 1.04 is out and Dasaria will be patching real soon, should we be expecting some DM quests and interactions on the server? Would definitely enhance rp on Dasaria I believe and plus DM quests are alot of fun to participate in.

Aw, soon I won't be able to log in for some days.

I don't want to miss the events even if my characters will constantly die. What a pain...

What?! Nooooo, who am I supposed to constantly badger for essences if you're gone :(

DM events should be awesome though, I can't wait!

Guess that means I should log in sometime tonight then.

By the by.. do we patch to the 9th PWC yet, or wait and do it with 1.04 when we update? When is that going to get done by the way?

It was just done. Both updated to 1.04 and using PwC9.

Any word on the availability of European time DMs (as far as I know, the second largest part of the player base is European)?

For all the server's merits, a working DM client will still mean about zero if those in other timezones can't enjoy it, especially when certain stories would rely on some form of DM interaction - particularly those relating to the central story of the server (what ever that turns out to be).

Dasaria 1 suffered from this problem a lot, and a great number of players simply melted away in the space of a few months, I'm sure the lack of DM interaction had some part to play in it.

Hail Dasarians

I am really looking to experience a DM quest I am new to internet gaming, this is my first one and I'm addicted to it.

I really/seriously,absolutely don't want to miss out on this, so how do I find out when and where the DM quests will be?

Don't take it easy on me because I'm new I want the full experience, I'll definitly won't be trying to make it easy for you!!

If I may be so bold as to add:

I'd like to pass on my gratitude to the creators of Dasaria; firstly for their efforts in making this an enjoyable escape from my life, secondly because they do this in their leisure time and for free (I only found that out yesturday - yes I know some of you are thinking what a novice but heh) and finally because they implement good ideas from the gamers.

A lot of the events will be just done on the fly. Some of the larger ones will be scheduled. Once the staff get a feel for the (still buggy) DM client, I promise most of you should be exposed to DM interaction of some form eventually.

We can do what we need to run an event.

It is a little quirky though. We will be starting with small spontaneous things while we get oriented with the client.

Yes, it will be like using a crowbar to do brain surgery. Impractical, cumbersome, but it might just work.

How else do you perform your brain surgery? Who needs a plan with the Dm client?
