I am at a critical stage in my life, and I need to experience it fully. I can't do that if I let the computer absorb me. I need to get into sports and the like, make more friends, talk to the ones I already have (which includes hanging out with them), actually live. And I won't be living as Evelond Formos anymore, I'll be living as the person I am, the person I have always been. I may stop by the forums every now and then to see what's going on, but for a while I will be catching up with reality. I am in love, in charge somewhat, in trouble, in a mess of loose ends, in a psychological pit of doom. I just need to get to life. I know this seems irrational, but I feel I have to do it.
I feel I must leave Dasaria behind.
Now I know for a fact some of you are happy to see me leave, and I respect that. If you don't give a left foot about my membership on Dasaria, stop reading now, because you could be spending your time in better ways.
You folks have no idea how much you have left an impact on me. In fact, I wouldn't be the same RL person I am now if I hadn't come here. Here I have learned plenty of life lessons, and made plenty of friends. I have learned the opinions of people outside my own nation, seen what many people see fictional, fantastic characters as; and I have learned a thing called respect. Really, Dasaria has taught me more than school ever will. And for that I thank you all. But I have to stop learning now, and start being. I have to start being me.
There are many people who get low grades because they put too much time into their "social life". My problem is quite the opposite; I need to GET a social life. My time has come to try pushing the limits I had simply presumed before, to break the rules and win the race.
There is one thing I want you people to know before I leave. I AM NOT A KID. And I got horribly tired of you folks putting a bandaid over your mouths anytime I came along. Now there were some people that graciously acted just as if I were another adult when I was around. Thanks to them. But many of you would put yourselves on "censored" mode--I'd really rather you just told me to go away, because I would have been fine with it. It feels better that way, because it makes me feel like I'm not watering down somebody else's conversation. When the next Evelond comes along, even if that happens to be me returning to Dasaria, I hope you keep what I have said in mind, because nobody likes to be a party-pooper.
Forgive me if I wake up tomorrow morning and post that I am not in fact leaving Dasaria, because not only am I drunk on music, but pretty tired as well. I -will- definitely be on the forums for the rest of the week, but after that I will do my best to limit myself.
And by now everybody who has bothered to read this is asleep.
Dasaria, and all its inhabitants, and shapers, and thinkers, and everyone associated with it, you have a special place in my heart. I don't know if there is a God, but if there is, His blessings upon you all.
Good night, Dasaria, and Good-bye. This time I am not angry as I leave. I am happy. I am happy that Dasaria has been as successful as it has, and the same for its players.
Now, if it happens that I do get faint of heart and decide to remain in Dasaria, I'll change the title of this thread to something along the lines of "Thank you", but I hope I won't need to do this.
All the best wishes,
~Evelond Formos~
