I was in the middle of talking to the smith outside of the Mistyvale when the server crashed and promptly restarted. After logging back in I found that I still had some quest items in my inventory, but that the quests no longer appeared in my journal and the NPCs that I was to deliver them to reacted as though I no longer had the items as well. The two quests that I noticed/can remember were 'The Lovers' Exchange' - I have the earring to give to the woman yet, and the beer tasting quest from the brewer - I have the ale to give to the half-elf in the tavern.
Character's name is Kusin Kreig if it helps at all.

Huh.
I was under the impression that this is how it's designed to work in Dasaria (either by choice or by technical necessity).
It may even be a NWN1 holdover issue, since much of the ocde was re-used by Obsidian. I've seen servers which use quest "tokens" in the player's inventory instead of journal entries for longer questlines, due to their more permanent nature in case the server crashes.
If this isn't the case, I've been wasting a lot of time re-running quests for nothing.

I know that I could easily dump the items and get the quests again, but I wasn't sure if this was the way that things were supposed to happen .. and if not, I was reporting the bug. Just thought someone that could do something about it would want to know either way.

And upon checking in tonight, I seemed to have the quest 'Supplies for the Temple' still ... at least I think it was still. I didn't go and get it again. And so I went outside and found the Agrimony and went back to the temple trying to turn it in and I didn't have a dialog option to do so. The priestess asks if I retrieved the item and I have it ... meh.
Oh yes, and the writs quest from the guardsman in the Mistyvale. I was able to do the entire quest again. But upon trying for the third time he wouldn't even speak with me, as I'm guessing is proper.

Currently, all bar the temple quest are repeatable. Things look a little worse than they are because of the sometimes-frequent crashes that can disrupt the flow of your questing. Hopefully, improved server stability over the coming months will alleviate some of these issues. Usually just ditch the items and do the quests again. It is working by design, and it is not an exploit.
It's just a game...
Good to hear Wyvern ... at least that it's working as planned. Thanks once again for putting my mind at ease.
