I won't forget the day I got him. My boss's two dogs had a litter that he brought into work to show the crew, after all one of the dogs named Jake was the shop dog that we all came to love. His demeanor was so calm and relaxed, he loved to lore you away from your job to pay him some attention. I walked into work early to see the litter in a large plastic bin, six of the seven in a pile atop of one another sleeping. The seventh pup must had been disturbed when I walked in, the door made a little noise. Now my boss knew I was going to get one, I had told him that I was interested. I admired the little buggers for a few seconds without approaching the bin any further. It was then I noticed the little guy who had isolated himself, he was staring up at me, I thought. I walked a few steps off to the right of me, then to the left. The pup moved with me. I was fascinated with him. I stepped back a few steps out of his view and to my surprise I noticed two paws brush up over the top of the bin once, twice, three times. He was trying to nudge himself up to see where I went. That was him, he was my dog, he had picked his master. I'd name him Koba.
Like I said, thanks everyone. I thought you guys would appreciate the pictures, the lad was dashing.
Cool fact: Koba was a Georgian folk hero whose legend bears a resemblance to Robin Hood. The name Koba means, "The Indomitable."
Uncool fact: Koba was idolised by Josef Stalin as a boy. So great was his obsession with Koba, that he later took the name as a pseudonym.
