if you open the quick cast menu, which i think is 'f' in the upper right hand corner there should be a little button that says spontaneous cast
after clikcking that you just click a spell as usual but it will cast the equivalent heal spell instead.

I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

If you notice i did say emperors which i believe is 1000 crowns. On some of my other pc's i was buying 30-40 per dungeon trip (addiction at its finest) so unless i was the only one he was making some serious coin :p ,what would be great though is if Ram bought heretical items and stolen items and no other NPC did. Maybe even have to have a certain sneak or pickpocket skill to even acess the area to buy or sell them.
All in all though it is a great change IMHO. Add in the change to melee charm and potion usage and we should see more groups forming. This could allow my healing cleric(who i intentionally made with huge weaknesses) to finally shine.

You mean there is another Healing Cleric on Das2? *slaps himself to make sure he's not just imagining it*ReverendRedrum wrote: ...

By the way very supportive of the changes.

*minor spoilers*
My new cleric and a few others went through the monk temple friday night and the new AI (especially for the bosses at the end) is very challenging.
A couple of us got nailed for 140 pts of damage which was quite a shock but made a normally mundane dungeon run into an epic battle.
We got whomped once but recovered and formed a new plan which involved multiple raises...thrilling fight to say the least and im sort of scared to see what new powers the mages in the tower will be using.

Yes, this was not pleasant. In fact, it was terrifying.ReverendRedrum wrote:*minor spoilers*

new potions rock
its not like theres not healing kits... and wow now theres good reason to take heal skill
my cleric looks forward to being needed because quite frankly he cannot do anything solo and has had to beg to tag along... now the tables are turned. It will be much more like P&P D&D... i mean really pulling out a fragile flask in the middle of combat whilst a battleaxe slices thru the air for your head... gulp gulp on with the fray....
the only real concern is that fighter chars who do not have crafting or potion making skills to earn money from whilst at 'home' will need more loot from quests to finance there trip, buy those wands and potions off PC's.
Damn poor Maug is already broke from buying heal kits and stoneskin wands (20000-30000)... without which he dies Very fast at 13th level. I mean WHERE THE HELL DO YOU GET 30,000???? am i missing something???????... They way its looking this fighter will be focably retired by rising quest costs in the very near future.

The Tower and the Orc caves offer lots of wealth if you can survive the monsters and the traps. Might want to find a friendly trapsmith and cleric to accompany you, and get rich together.

Took my lowbe cleric into bugbears today with a group, and yes, it was harder than I remembered.
Lets just say I was damned glad I had made a couple of heal wands. Of course the only real problem is that I didn't even come close to making enough money to cover the expense of creating the wands I used to heal my party.

lvl 1 - 7 seems like you got loads of coin but then when whichever party I'm with completes a quest we get 7100 coin from the split and it costs around 10 +++ to do some quests when you have to buy wands and such.
