Childhood sentiments?

Post by Kell »

I just had a morning of watching Youtube videos from the Spicegirls and I have to admit; I miss the boyband/girlband times. It was -fun-. I was in highschool and we were singing these songs all day long. Spicegirls = the start of my highschool period.

I'm curious; what are your childhood sentiments? There are many different people here from different cultures and in different ageranges, so I'd love to hear and find out =)

I remember wanting to smash the Spice Girls in the face with a shovel repeatedly.
It's just a game...

Did you have a preference in which one you wanted to hit first?

Jesus, spice girls?

You guys desperately need me back, if the forums are in such bad shape I can only imagine how pathetic the irc channel is looking.
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

Hm. Let's see.

I remember being very young and playing with my cousin's Atari-Pre-
Nintendo-thing that only allowed you to play like Asteroids or something
like that... also my original Nintendo and the various Zelda games I never
beat and my Sega with Sonic-the-Hedgehog-that-wouldn't-remain-alive.
My first computer was a Tandy 1000... with a printer that had the little
holes on the edges of the paper that you needed to tear off. Boy, that
should scare some of you.

As far as music, I grew up mostly late 80's, early 90's, so I had a huge
craze on both New Kids on the Block and Madonna, not necessarily in that
order. I had everything both of them ever did, and posters on my wall of
the former. Never did get Madonna's sex book though.

Memories are like fly-paper. You stick them somewhere and forget.

I agree. Altough, once a memory becomes forgotten, can it still be called a memory then? Because a memory would be something you remember, right? If it stops being a memory, what does it become then?

I grew up on G.I. Joe and TNMT, the two greatest cartoons as a child. I won't lie though....

Power Rangers came out while I was third grade, and yes I was a fan, haha. Now that I think on that...wow I can't believe it has been that long ago since I was but a kid watching these shows, the years fly on by.
