I almost forgot; Garrett's definitely a Real Man! He's a Fighter/Rogue, though, with a heavy emphasis on the Rogue part...
Characters: Soltis, Garrett, and William of Aucklorn.

I'd love for my character to party up with a Fighter/Rogue, one of the most useful and fun character combos in the game. In that situation I'd even be happy to tank so the Ftr/Rog can utilise all that sneak attack goodness :)

"I have a club with which I slap things. And an armor that's falling appart.

...But I can fix things really well. If it's broken, come to me and I'll fix it. I'm uh.. A handyman. Type. Of guy. Not a warrior. But just.. you know? Someone you need around the house. Tree. Woods. Type of guy. That's good too, right?"

Good to hear :D

Dwarven Defenders are one of my favourite tanky types. The other one is the Barbarian. In fact if I ever get the chance to roll up another character, I'm going to try to make a pure Barbarian.

Dwarven Tank ... I mean defender... that's me.

Lev 16, 9 of the DD. Typically now buffing, I run around with 40 AC in the mill area, but I don't like using buffs.

If I buff, I can get to 42 (barkskin, shield charm), but generally it isn't necessary. My problem is all the damned crit's, and the vampire bats.

AC 42 when I get lev 17, without buffs.

Yeah, groups, support, tanking--that's what I'm talking about! My character, Jerek, is really low (only level 2), but if there are folks looking to start up new tank-type characters then talk to him if you see him around. He's a fighter/rogue (my favorite "mercenary" build) so if he can get someone to take the brunt of the hits he's happy. Just stay away from the evil alignments and all should be well.

Hehe, Kern is a tank alright. We got jumped by about 8 undead near the mill once, and he tanked em all without dying

But sticking to the original subject, I have a level 15 Paladin/Divine Champion, Thracius Trueblade, he's not an amazing tank, but he deals out plenty of damage with his greatsword, and when evil rears it's ugly head..... well it usually ends up decapitated thanks to his divine wrath and 8 smites per day.

I also recently made a fighter who is going weapon master, designed to be more of a generic tank/damage dealer. He's only level 4 at the moment, but the amount I've been playing this damn game recently, don't expect it to stay that way for long!

Spider - Fighter,Rogue,Assassin -- Likes to have a Stoneskin spell if possible but otherwise fights without much of anything else. However, most effective as 2nd Ftr. in a group.

I have an ulterior motive for my question in that I'm keen to develop my character as a 'support' type of cleric, but obviously a support cleric is fairly pointless if there was no one is there to do the tanking.
I am probably going to rebuild my one true fighter-type character, and when i do she will have an even lower AC than she does now (read: abysmal) so clerics that are willing to buff others will be vital for her survival, i expect.... :P

Jair Ravenlocke is around from time to time too. He's a level 13 fighter/rogue with heavy emphasis on the fighter. And he's a "Real Man" too ;)
