Hurrah that it's been implemented. But I'm looking for hints on the things you can make with this feat; I picked it back at level 5 and now that it does something I want to mess around with the enchantments.
Problem is I can't figure out any recipes. So, answer me this, those of you who are in the know: What's the template for making things with this feat?
(base item) + (essence) + (gem) + (spell)?
(base item) + (essence) + (alchemical component) + (spell)?
(base item) + (essence) + (alchemical component) + (gem) + (spell)?
I'm assuming, of course, all the things needed to make at least one of the recipes are in the game. If not, then tell me so I can stop abusing the Magician's Workbench with my spells.

What the .....
You mean to tell me that no one is willing to share crafting information... Why the hell not! That is just ridiculous. I mean what the hell is the point of crafting if none of the recipes work and no one will share the ones that do. I am frankly very disappointed.
Please see my response to your post here and stop bumping every crafting thread:

And yes, people do share crafting information all the time, some even give apprenticeships. The information can be obtained in the game, but not on the messageboard.

Instead of griping that crafting information in Das2 isn't freely distributed on the forums, perhaps you should seek IG for those who are organized into crafting guilds, like the Order of the Diamond.Laoch wrote:You mean to tell me that no one is willing to share crafting information... What's the point of having everything just delivered to you on a silver platter? It's far more fun to "discover" things IG than to just look it up. If that's all you want to do, there's WoW for that sort of gameplay.

As an ex-WoW player myself, I would like to point out, that even in WoW, you often have to work extremely hard for powerful items. Tier 2 epics don't grow on trees, you know!Bobzim wrote:Instead of griping that crafting information in Das2 isn't freely distributed on the forums, perhaps you should seek IG for those who are organized into crafting guilds, like the Order of the Diamond.Laoch wrote:You mean to tell me that no one is willing to share crafting information... Bobzim is right, though. Have you never heard of trade secrets? Copyright? Intellectual property? Dasaria is supposed to reflect a more realistic kind of socio-political environment than a normal MMO, mainly due to the fact it's all RPed by the players and the players themselves have a lot more control over server events than they normally would. The Order of the Diamond is an organisation that looks after the interests of craftsmen, and seeks to promote their craft and allow everyday people to purchase their wares. The craftsmen spent a long time discovering this knowledge, and their livelihoods could well be ruined if every man and his dog knew how to enchant things. The economy would break down and craftsmen would be unecessary and jobless.
Dasaria is an RP server, you can only find this sort of information ingame and in-character, not by just asking for it on the forums. Thank you, have a nice day

Haha, indeed. You even had to work for the recipies, although you could just check the allakhazam for ingredients, you'd still need to get the recipy or you wouldn't be able to craft the item.Thracius Trueblade wrote:As an ex-WoW player myself, I would like to point out, that even in WoW, you often have to work extremely hard for powerful items. Since that wouldn't work in DAS thanks to NWN2 being what it is, i say that the current situation, where it's the few accomplished crafters who truly know the trade, is a good one. I'd hate to see crafting recipies become public knowledge.
Insanity has been kind to me, but no longer.
