I have yet to find anything is game on Dasaria that has anything to do with crafting instructions, recipes or anything like that.

So far crafting is pretty much limited to the elitist guilds and such and is relatively useless because none of the standard recipes work and no one will share information.

I suggest taking this information and putting it in books that are available as found treasure or perhaps a side quest to find a library or just scattered through out the game. That way it might actually be enjoyable to consider crafting.
Alright, let me just set you straight here. There are no 'elitist' guilds in Dasaria. If you have character with crafting skills, then you may join the Order of the Diamond, if you wish, and you may then learn the appropriate crafting recipes from one of the master craftsmen. Next time please get your facts straight before you label people as 'elitist'.

Crafting is not 'useless' just because you can't do it. There are several characters in game (including one of mine) who can offer you enchanting services, if you are in need of them.

Thirdly, it annoys me no end to see someone come on here and demand that information be spoon-fed to them, in such a scathing manner. We had about 4 people working on the crafting recipes in the Order of the Diamond, and it took us hours of hard work and trying to puzzle the recipes out before we actually discovered something. If you were willing to make the effort, you could also work them out yourself, just like we did. Or you could just join the Order and learn them from a master. We worked hard for this knowledge, and you will have to as well, if you want to discover it.

I am not a member of the order of the diamond but spent many hours testing with another individual to discover the recipes and the thought of someone being handed the recipes just because they joined the guild makes me want to puke.

Just to be clear, the Order of the Diamond doesn't simply give away recipes to it's members. In fact, per OoD rules we don't post any recipes in the faction forum. Instead, members still need to go through master-apprentice RP to learn things.

Allright guys, take your rivalry in-game.

I think you've both laid out your case, as I have laid out mine as to why this information isn't "free."

Nobody's giving away recipes to my knowledge, and definitely not here because I would remove them in a heartbeat.

The bumping poster was specifically directed by my post to look in-game for answers. You're free to help him or not as your in-character motivations dictate.

But another thing, if this all was laid out somewhere, maybe it would be HELPFUL to new people in the community to know the state of affairs and where they can go for services or not? You're kind of encouraging this by being so secretive. Not about recipes but... everything else.
