A note on the door of the Inn

Let it be known that the City Guard are not alone in keeping a watchful eye. Lawlessness in Cear will not be tolerated. No longer can you break the law anonymously for we are always observing you. Law. Order. Duty. Under these principles The Citizens' Watch will reveal to all the names and descriptions of those vagabonds who wish to ignore the Emperor's Decrees.

Praise Be the Emperor. Long Live Varana.

The list of those who have fallen into lawlessness is as follows:

1. Ty'ir light skinned with seemingly elfish blood. Twice he has been caught brandishing his quarterstaff in public. Twice he has been told to put it away. He has both times, but not without argument.

2. A lady in blue cloth armor and blue helmet delivered a writ to the Smith for brandishing a weapon in town WHILE brandishing her own weapon. Such hypocrisy.

3. A fair skinned brown haired man named James was caught stealing a wolf pelt. He tried to denied it but he was caught red handed.

4. Master Ogden, Finn's father, upon hearing of the incarceration of his son, blasphemed loudly. He shouted the forbidden, false name of Tharon which I dare not even write on this parchment.

5. A halfling of medium to dark complexion brandishing a mullet also brandished his longsword and ran through the outskirts of town. He failed to yield to calls demanding he sheath his weapon.

6. A halfling of fair skinned complexion and brown hair named Drugo was named suspect in an act of thievery outside of the Inn and caught red handed in another act of thievery.

7. A gray haired male human with the ability to cast Eldritch Blast was the victim of Drugo's second act of thievery. Instead of reporting it to the town guards, he took matters into his own hands and committed the act of murder. Not only did he refuse to turn himself in for this act, he even refused to divulge his name and eluded capture from the guards at the city gates.

8. A human of fair complexion, dark hair, and full beard named Dale refused to holster his mace within the city limits. He later apologized and vowed not to do it again but the violation still stands.

9. Valeran, an elf with fair complexion and brown hair, had his blade out in town. He cooperated and sheathed with his apologies.

10. Andus Falier is running a moonshining operation out of his basement

11. Sych, a human with brown hair and fair complexion brandished his spear inside the inn and was very rude while asked to put it away. He even delivered a writ to the barkeep while holding the spear. He then repeated this act many hours later carrying a crossbow in the commons.

12. A half-orc with green complexion and long side burns brandished his club inside the inn. He put it away upon request.

13. Eren, a human male of light complexion with brown hair brandished his sword in the commons. He was very apologetic and immediately cooperated but ignorance is no excuse.

14. Rashan, a human male of light complexion brandished his sword in the commons, in the north outskirts of town, and in the inn. He was very defiant and refused to even acknowledge calls to sheath his weapon. Finally, hours later, at another chance meeting he cooperated.

16. Tiefling male with red hair and light complexion (Thyver said his name was Rand) brought a demon shadow into town and refused to holster his mace.

17. Fox, human male of light complexion, defiantly refused to holster his halberd and instead opted to stand outside.

18. Tren ------------ -------- -------- ---------------- --------- --------- ---------- ---------- ------------ ----------- ----------- -------- ----------- ---------- ----------- ------------ --------- ------------ ---------- ------- --------- ------- ------ is a respected member of the City Guard.

19. Fox continues to willfully disobey the laws of Cear and the Varanite Empire. He has been informed a multitude of times that it is against the law to brandish a weapon within city walls. Yet, he continues to wield a rather large halberd and refuses to even acknowledge requests for him to put it away. This is no longer mere ignorance of the law. This is flat out contempt for it. He is a danger to society.

20. Fox has now been quoted the law once again and quoted the law that forbids willful defiance of the law. He simply walks away and does not care.

21. Khronus: Drawing weapons within city quarters. Was cooperative and apologetic, seems to be a singer. Blonde Hair, Blonde short Beard, of pale complexion, Human at approximately 18 hands. -Minuvas

22. Fox may now add blasphemy to his list of offenses. He uttered thrice the false name of Tharon.

23. Del'Fearo Alagaidin: Male. Black Haired, Brown Skin, about 13 Hands. non-Cooperative, refused to put away his weapon multiple times.Elven in nature. -Minuvas

24. Unknown: Female, did not wish to give name. Brandished weapons in town. Extremely uncooperative. Unknown Hair color, Unknown Facial description - was wearing a blue helmet. About 15 Hands tall, possibly human or Half-Elven. -Minuvas

25. Unknown: Did not wish to give name. Attempted to impede justice multiple times, lying about the names of People who had carried weapons - and at multiple times gave false alias of his own self. He wore brown Scragly hair, and a chain coat of armor. He stood about 16 hands tall. Looked to be an older man. Human. -Minuvas

26. Than: Brown Hair, Short Brown Beard. Human, Male. 15 and a half hands. Was warned sternly about weapon law in Cear, apologized. Returned shortly in the future - where he broke the rule once again. A repeated offense. -Minuvas

27. Grubby: Female, Elf or Half-Elven. Brandishing weapons in town. Cooperated. Female, 14 hands. Brown hair, ponytail. -Minuvas

28. Halyiegh: Halfling, Female. 5 Hands. Blone Hair, Brandishing weapons within city limits - cooperated. -Minuvas

29. Flynn: Human or Half-Elven. Blonde Hair, 14 Hands. Brandishing weapons - cooperative. -Minuvas

30. Galahad: 15 and a half hands.Male. Unknown Hair Color, No beard Spoke the Blasphemous name of Tharon, was apologetic - and immediately took to calling him his proper name, after recognizing his ignorance. Also helped to patrol the cities and aide in the enforcement of the Emperors law, and reporting of criminals with myself. -Minuvas

31. Meta: Female. 14 and a half Hands. Female.Human. Blonde Hair. Defended the False name of Tharon, and proclaimed the Emperors will to be unjust - questioned the intent of the Emperors laws. -Minuvas

32. Unknown: Dwarf. Male. Brown Hair. Wore Chainmail armor, Six Hands.Carried his axe, laughed at the laws of the Emperor - and proclaimed that he did not need to follow them. He was repeatedly approached, and broke this law several times in front of me - refusing to sheathe his weapon at all nor give up his name. I would consider him extremely unwilling and uncooperative, proclaiming himself above the Emperors law - and a traitor to the Emperor. Those who approach him about the law, will find no success - unless you are in the Imperial Watch's service, to which he feigns loyalty. I caught him again on several, and multiple occasions brandishing his weapon in the public, and in private quarters of the Tavern. The Dwarf spoke heavily of disloyalty and rebellion to the Emperor - and should be considered extremely dangerous. -Minuvas

Straggling through the door in the early wee hours of morning, a dark haired lass sees the not eon the door. She reads it, snorts, then mutters something about those who stick their noses too far into others business, often end up noseless.

An odd haired human sees the note on the door and taking a quick look to make sure no one's looking scribbles on the bottom:
'This sign was not approved for posting. It deserves a writ too.'

Giggling some, he gives one of the passing women a smile and nods to the guard as he vacates innocently.

Entering the inn, Zadrithurn turns towards the note as if he expected it to be there. Reaching into a pouch at his belt, he produces a small parchment and proceeds to copy down each of the names and descriptions listed. Replacing the parchment, he straightens the note a bit and turns on his heal, heading further into the inn.

Celintra grins, removing the note from its home. Shoving it in her pocket with considerable ease, she walks away. She mutters under her breath, "Nosy people."

Grayle checks out her posterior as she saunters off, yet again mumbling to herself. He unfastens his tankard and walks inside.

Rhode, sitting off to the side, watches the exchange then taking a small pebble flicks it at Celintra just as Grayle walks inside and then turns and stares into the inn.

A burly guard appears at Celintra's side, grabbing her wrist. He spins her around to face him.

"Removing public notices that are in the best interests of the city's citizens is a retaliatory act against those same citizens, miss. You are a citizen of this magnificent Empire, are you not?"

Celintra smiles. "Of course I am a citizen, sir. I was merely going to run this up to one of the Captains. I am, of course, doing my duty. No sense in letting others get ideas of being vigilantes when it is the watch's duty to deal with such things." She widens her eyes. "I would never dream of breaking the law, sir. I am merely trying to enforce it by doing the right thing. Why if I had known you were behind me, I would have just handed it to you." She slips the parchment out of her pocket and extends it towards him.

OOC: I just knew I was going to get in trouble for that. Hehe.

Leaning with his back to the bar, a mug in one hand, William is deep in discussion with the owner of the Mistyvale on a matter of grave importance... "Why not just serve the booze from behind the counter, ye old badger? You know I've got the coin for another fill after the great expedition I just took into Cear's finest crypts!"

"Stop tryin' to put me in my place, ye runty bugger! I don't care how much coin ya got, I like to be out here with my beloved patrons."

The pale half-breed simply smiles, a knowing glint in his colorless eyes. "You mean you like keeping an eye on ones like that," Will says with a motion toward the banter, and a dip of his ale, "Ah, that really hits the spot." He nods to Grayle, catching his eye, as the man utilizes his time in the inn to idly oggle the dark-haired lass while removing some of his encumbersome armored chasis.

"Don't believe her sir" Rhode cries out to the guard who stopped Celintra. "You should have heard the things she was muttering about the Emperor when she saw that notice there.

Now set against the far end of the bar, Zadrithurn watches the exchange intently. Promptly adding a short description of Celintra to his parchment, he continues to survey the goings-on, quite conscious of the choice of words and demeanor of each participant.

Boris watches the exchange from off to the side, but steps forward and chimes in after Rhode's remark.

"Ah, but my friend, you didn't quite hear the grand things she was saying about our great Emperor! I was just off to the side, and heard quite clearly."

He turns to the Guard, inclining his head.

"Good sir, she was merely remarking on the wonderful job the Imperial Govermment is doing on curtailing such evident lawlessness. Indeed, she was very appreciaitive and was on her way to the good Captain Waldren in the Mistyvale. I'd hate to have some offhand remark distort the reality of the situation."
