About Meanwhile in Dasaria....

Meanwhile in Dasaria... is for strictly in-character roleplay posts.

While not played out in the game (though sometimes mirroring or expounding upon in-game events according to the preferences of the writers), events described here are supposed to be happening in the gameworld, and normal game context should apply.

That means you only roleplay your own actual character (not the actions of other player characters or NPCs). You should try to reasonably adhere to the abilities that are actually on that character's character sheet as well, in as much as they're relevant to the tale, not making up spells, items, or abilities they don't really have.

But we're also telling each other stories here, not rolling dice. So if your character undertakes an action (hostile or otherwise) against another character, just indicate the action, not the result. Leave that open ended for them to determine.

Forced roleplay is poor etiquette -- You, as a player, should never dictate how another player's character reacts.

If you post in Meanwhile, you're inviting other members of the community to participate, usually as if they might have plausibly come across the scene you initially describe. For more traditional fiction set in a Dasarian context, please use the Tales and Stories forum.

These are the basics. Other than that there's room for rule-bending in the name of fun and play, but please try to keep these points in mind.
