illegal removed spells

Hello my sorcerer upon reaching 9th level and then relog back into Dasaria II, after pressing the select character and then clicking on character name "Sych" and start, i would get a ingame window coming up saying "Invalid character - player login refused. Illegal removed spells.
Can someone please explain why?

Do you have the Spellcaster Prodigy feat, or whatever its called? And have you upgraded to the latest patch?

Okay, whatever. That's irrelevant.

Did you take Spellcaster Prodigy feat after level up? If you did, that's why.

He wouldn't be 9th level ( ... ) if he didn't have the latest patch seeing how he wouldn't be able to log in. : )

I dont have the spellcaster prodigy feat, and i dont have the new Dasaria II patch installed. Im finding it now on this website.

I wasn't referrring to the Dasaria II patch, I was referring to the game patch which was just released. 1.03, I think?

I believe it's released tomorrow? The devs gave a vague description, they said possibly Wednesday.

Just checked the updater and no patch yet...

Gotcha. I didn't know when it was coming out, I'm at work, so I obviously can't check.

I just tried updating NWN2 with nwn2 auto run and update button and i am "up to date. No patch file required". My character did crash in transition with Eagle's Splendor buff giving me +4 charisma. Maybe the +4 Charisma of the buff saved to my character, therefore giving me extra Stats and the game assumes i have an invalid character?

But when i look at my own character's stats in the select character screen all my stats look normal. 8 str, 10 dex, 16 con, 12 int, 8 wis, 20 cha.

Did you swap some spells out last level up?

Theres a bug where you can (but shouldnt be able to) change more than 1 spell per level and a higher level spell than should be allowed with sorc's. If you did, knowingly or unknowingly as in NWN1 this rule wasnt enforced, it will invalidate your charecter. The only solution is to have a DM De-level your charecter on thier end, probably accomplished by logging the charecter on via DM client and then removing a level.

No i didnt swap any spells at reaching 9th lvl, cos sorcs only get to swap spells at even levels
