((Nice job Cythis, was a fun read! I see I even received an honorable mention! I would've battled with you if it was allowable. Thanks Stormbeards for putting on the show, I would like to see some inclusion of spellcasters though.))

It's time to play the game...
TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!
It's all about the game and how you play it.
All about control and if you can take it.
All about your debt and if you can pay it.
It's all about pain and who's gonna make it.
I am the game, you don't wanna play me.
I am control, no way you can change me.
I am heavy debt, no way you can pay me.
I am the pain and I know you can't take me.
Look over your shoulder, ready to run.
Like a Rian coward from a smokin sun.
I am the game and I make the rules.
So move on out here and die like a fool.
Try to figure out what my move's gonna be.
Come on over mongrel, why don't you ask me?
Don't you forget that the price you can pay
Cause I am the game and I want to play....
It's time to play the game...

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (A Dariusian Locket)
Cythis was still trying to isolate Brother Darius away from the Temple. His position held of great importance along with Brother Kenshin's leading the Requiem Order of Peralia. However, status was of no concern to Cythis.
Over and over again, Cythis remember the words of Darius when asked about the locket. 'It is just a family heirloom'. Cythis did not believe such a group would have went through all of the trouble to contact him to go after such a meaningless trinket. Cythis believed this to be empowered enough to raise mountains or level cities. "Just speaking to me of trying to get this was a feat in itself," Cythis thought.
Honestly, Darius was held in high respect with Cythis as a formidable foe, but if the Knight would avoid his peaceful ways of handing over the locket, then Cythis would find another way to take it.
"Cytheria, I need you to signal Sara Taure to come....we have much to talk about. But when she comes you will have to have her assemble all of the Illythiiri. By Tiamet talons, we will need her might as the Temple of Peralia's fate shall rest upon the peace of one man - Darius." Cythis said, while standing up from his Iron Throne he was working on in his spare time.
"Oh Cytheria, one more thing if you could, when you come home, be ready to cook."

Anyone that is a dark elf and wants to lay down some experiences or IC plots obviously that won't say exactly what will happen, but what might, or something that has already happend. PLease feel free to post it in here. This isn't just about Cythis's deep thoughts, it really is for all of the dark elves. Kinda like your one stop shop for the evil vile dark elves to express their experiences of IG racist and what they wish or hope to do to the empire for it.

Rhode starts to rub his face as he yawns but stops when he knocks himself in the forehead with well gnawed on leg bone. He stares at the bone for a moment scowling before casting it aside and stands up looking down at the mutilated body laying on the ground near his feet. Its black skin, white hair and part of a pointed black ear gives him the only indication that his latest victim was one of the Dark Elves.
Using the toe of his boot he turns the partial severed head to look at where the Tel Gothrim's face use to be. He shrugs, rubbing his belly and belching. "Is 'open'n dat aint nobody wot Is knows."

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts
Cythis came down the steps of the Misty, thinking about his plans to motivate Brother Darius and welcoming the burning rays of the sun thru the windows of the tavern. He saw a familiar face, Nadia....one of the sisters of the Mirage. She told him about there were rumors of lycanthropes in the area once again. The Black Nights seemed to have been slightly lazy at there post due to other internal turmoil.
"Really Nadia, so how many of them were seen in the area?" Ask Cythis. He walked back up the stairs waiting for her answer and rushed to his room. Grabbing his silver scythe he came back down, still waiting for the answer. Nadia seemed on guard as suddenly Cythis saw a huge beast smash thru the windows of the misty and arch up, shaking all of the glass off of it onto everyone else. Its huge eyes centered on Cythis.
"By Tiamet's strength" thought Cythis.
The fiendish creature flexed out it's claws and snapped at Cythis, but the beast was met with the blade of the scythe sticking it under it's mouth and poking back out it's snout. The wound was a mortal wound, yet this was no mere mortal. However, its blood was sizzling as it glazed over the silver of the blade. The creature could no longer bite and was starting to pass away. Cythis wrenched his blade from the creature as it writhed on the floor. Cythis thought for a long time, as he knew the responsible party for this. The creature slowly turned back into it's natural form - a dark elf.
"Damn you Rhode...your legacy still lives on!" Cythis mumbled to himself.

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (Harquin the Hunted part 1)
"Cythis my friend, you seem to be on yet another persons priorities of thinning the herd." Morf said, "a mere set back of a problem, but one of which I am sure you can handle."
"Whom wants a piece of me? The Stormbeards? Volak? The Debees? Phelan?" Cythis somewhat confused.
The diamond Morf was flipping in the cave, reflected some of the sun light that was seeping thru. Morf seemed to almost enjoy such topics with Cythis as he could be so animated with explaining the issues and yet find time to twiddle his gold knecklaces or shine his boots before his enemies would dare see him.
"Aye...this one has a flaw in it!" Morf seemed to almost ignore Cythis's query.
"Morf, come back to me, you are getting lost again!" Cythis replied. "Warlocks...."
"Oh yes, I believe the human's name is Harquin, I almost blasted him with my power...but I almost was undecided as to which one to use on him.....acid or my other more powerful one. Truly this was something I couldn't decide." Morf laughed. "But he also told me I should watch where I stepped. I truly agreed with him. I didn't want to trip over any stones or branches or into any holes." Morf again added humor, but Cythis was used to such responses.
Cythis grinned with pleasure, as if it didn't seem to worry Morf to much, then Cythis would let it sit in the back of his mind.
"Okay Harquin, you wanna play....just let me find you. I will make you remember how hard I was to hurt when we first met many battles before." Cythis smiled and said his good byes to Morf and left their dark meeting place.
"Darius will have to wait. I see I have someone dying to taste my wrath." Cythis thought.
Cythis walked along the road towards Raven's Watch and met up with Io, one of the dark mages of the Illythiiri and informed him of the issues presently that were going on. Io though being a very busy soul, was pressed for time in other places and need to meet those commitments. Cythis as usual understood his need to leave, but really never understood Io as a mage, or even truly what mages do. More of a responsibility then what Cythis would have ever had the patience for.
Cythis decided he needed some time though to be with his daughter Cytheria. As he could tell their relationship was almost as bad when she lived her life as a Paladin of Tyrak. Cythis changed his route to Korgov Valley. He had some gems of different sorts he wanted to give his daughter. He had started motivating her to be more useful around their glorious ruins, instead of just another soldier waiting for battle. He was even starting to see improvement with her cooking. Yet, he still was always suspicious of what he ate, fearing that it could find him death.
Cythis saw how many fathers were to their young children while in the different villages and towns. He thought maybe he could try that same approach, however to a 200 year old Tel'gothrim would be a different angle. He decided he would see what few things he could pick up at Aucklorn, meaning, see what clothes he could steal off of the clothes lines. He did find a pretty dress that was a little bigger then his daughter's build. But even more reason for her to learn how to make alterations, as Cythis had expensive robes that needed some fixing as well. "Cytheria, now you can stitch in these gems into the dress I have for you." Cythis mumbled to himself. "Instead of gettign yourself killed at the hands of the empire."
Cythis came to his valley of death as the normal way. Taking an ever watchful eye to see if anything was around. Day light was nearing it's end, so he had to hurry. Cythis walked down the steps of his ruins to the area where he could smell great aromas coming from. "Food!" Cythis saw there was what looked like some freshly killed duck skinned on their bench. What lied in the pot was the breast and seasonings of all different sorts. This was definately a human concoction. "Where in the hells Cytheria did you learn to make this?" Cythis asked aloud.
"No answer, again. I think I need to get her to realize who's her father still." Cythis thought.
Cythis grabbed his scythe and struck through the door to her chambers and was shocked. Cytheria was straddled over what looked to be a body of a Aucklorn resident. Cytheria spilled the tray in her hands all over the body. Blood soaked all over the sheets and Cythis side stepped to avoid the dagger that was thrown at his throat.
"Father for Hells sake!" Cytheria screamed!
"I don't even wanna know what you are doing in here." Cythis started to walk out. But he caught a glimps of one of his old helmets. It now had a nicely set of human teeth glued onto them. But this work of art wasn't even close to beign done as Cythis would only assume.
Cythis sat down and ate the soup. And grabbed a bag of magical dust and covered himself with it and was hidden from the eyes of anything that walked at night there. Time to catch a hunter.

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (Harquin the Hunted part 2)
Making his way thru Thrall's Gate, Cythis readied his silver scythe. The increase in lycanthropes around the area was reaching terribly high levels. Cythis had recently had some very close run in with such beast and now kept his silver very close to him.
Cythis knew his he could seek wise council with his priest of Tiamet and possibly get a vision from Sol. As of late he has relied to much on his fighting skills and not focused his thoughts on why he was so successful in battle, save the Stormbeards event. Cythis's belief was he was always in tune with his Goddess, with every step he took.
As the sun rose across the lands, its blaze meet up with Cythis and conquered him once again. "Damn Rel!"
The eyes of Cythis took a while to adjust, but finally he got in focused. He had learned to use his helm to help keep most of the flares of the sun away from his site by tilting his head down. Even implemented his positioning into his fighting stance. It was awkward at first, but Cythis could easily incorporate almost any type of movement in battle with his scythe.
Cythis came to town and spoke with his scout and oracle, Sol. Informing him of this Harquin and to keep a distance from Cythis, enough to not be seen as a threat by Harquin, but close enough to help counter any types of assassination attempts. Sol knew he would be greatly rewarded for such works. "If Harquin is going to strike me, I shall be his tuff mark yet." Cythis said to Sol. Sol took off and kept a hunter's eye upon Cythis.
Oddly enough when Cythis went into the Misty Tavern, two familiar faces greeted him. Io and Myth. "Is this a terrible day to be hunting me, " Cythis thought. Within the tavern held three of the most darkest souls against the Empire, yet at this time, this bar was a safe haven.
Cythis also saw a familiar face. Nadia, one of the children of the desert, but she vanished in the crowd.
Cythis, Io, and Myth sat down with each other and started speaking their native tongue, but then Io spotted a ling close by. The ling seemed quite interested in their conversation, from what he could understand of the Illythiiri speech.
At this time Sol, came within the Misty reporting to Cythis that there was no one around and it would be safe for him to wander close to the Misty if he needed to for nefarious purposes. Cythis smiled, and still listend to the curiosity of the Ling. However, the dark elves also were discussing this potential assassin. "An attack on one of us, is an attack upon all", Cythis thought. I would never allow my dark brothers to suffer anything.
Cythis again looked around the room for Nadia, he had business to speak of pertaining to the better interest of the Mirage. He could not find her. However the message was important. He did need to find Nadia.
Cythis stopped back at the table and told his dark brothers that he would be back in a few. As he walked out, one of them shouted, "Scream if they kill you!" Cythis smirked and repied softly, "Hopefully."
He stepped out the Misty's doors and the sunlight was still blazing. He knew Sol, told him it was safe to stay somewhat close by, but he thought he saw Nadia past the gates. Again, though she fleeted from him. Cythis knew that beyond the gates, the fleet would provide barely anything for help, as him being a dark elf though he knew that they would almost ignore any of his helps or pleas.
Scythe grabbed his scythe out from beyhind his pack, hoping he was merely paranoid. But just in time, Cythis heard someone ask him something. He turned around but couldn't see. However he heard another voice as well. Cythis used his innate powers to see in the realm of invisibility, yet there were none. "Assassins?" Cythis thought. If one was not enough, two would be a slaughter. Cythis walked into a trap and knew he would pay dearly for it.
"Well, if I am going to go out, why not make it burn?" Cythis closed his eyes, quickly grabbed a green glowing flask and smashed it upon the ground. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Acid", someone screemed.
Cythis was feeling the pain too, but was then able to see one of his attackers. "Harquin my friend!" Cythis welcomed the asssassin as the tables now turned upon him. The assassin coughing from the fumes, dove in with two blades. Cythis only parrying one of them, and took a slice close to this kneck. Cythis knew that he no longer could afford to allow such attacks within his guard like that again. Instinctively as if the scythe was a part of him, he tried to attack the blades instead of Harquin. Catching one of the daggers, and pulling back one of the fingers of Harquin, one of them was flung on the ground.
The assassin though still had another blade, but Cythis was now going to make him enjoy pain. Cythis remember Harquin's previous battles within the streets of Cear many moons again. Harquin and his other man-lover would chase Cythis down for miles. But it seemed almost a game to Cythis. No one ever truly was wounded. However this time someone was going to die.
Cythis tripped Harquin, landing him right on his back and knew that he could easily take out the knees of this assassin. Cythis layed heavily into the would be assassin's knees knowing all to well that the pain alone should be dropping this fool into a deep sleep. Harquin tried to catch the blades of he scythe, however they simply slide off his dagger and pierced his legs and caught him in the thighs. Harquin was finished. However Cythis took out much of his years of anger upon him and continued to slice him like a tomatoe.
Within his disturbed rage, Cythis still realized there was still someone else out there. Nadia appeared before Cythis's eyes. As well as another dark figure walking on the road towards Cear. Mira, a dark skinned human approached. Cythis knew this was the heart of someone that he could trust, but Nadia and Mira weren't corrupt like much of the fleet. Cythis asked Mira to go to the Misty and tell his friends that he was attacked, but safe now. Nadia stayed out with Cythis waiting for the others. Cythis pulled a scroll to bring Harquin back from the dead. As Cythis completed reading it, he wispered into the ears of Harquin laying there, "I shall show you more pain runt, then Culnul...but you better tell me whom sent you."
The assassin finally came too with all of the dark elves, Mira, and Nadia surrounding him. Again Cythis asked him whom sent him, and Harquin knew how to press the button's of Cythis by insulting his race. Cythis again struck him down. Myth the priest walked up to the human scum and touched him and prayed and once again Harquin's body was spared from Culnul.
"Last time Harquin, whom sent you?" Cythis asked. The group was getting nervous as if they fleet would have seen this, no doubt they would have been blamed for this attack. "We must leave here men, this would be death if the fleet comes around." Cythis said.
Myth tied up Harquin and then Mira said that she would turn in this assassin into the fleet. "Mira, you have made many friends this day!" Cythis firmly said to her. Then he turned and headed for Tristan along with Io, Myth, and Nadia.
Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts
// This was awesome to see. Verna walked in at the every end of these events and it is fun to find out what all went down. While she was confused (and intimidated by all the dark elves) she knew Cythis's reputation. While the motivations may be unknown, the battles are carried out with honor... so she decided to not get involved with something over her head.

Re: Tel'gothrim Thoughts (One Sword to Defy Them part 1)
Many moons in the past Cythis and a group of fearless spelunkers dared the tower of the Devourer of Tristan. It was at that point that their success in finding many riches and magic became the genesis of Cythis's pain. While scaveging amongst the skeletons that attacked him, one of them seemed to be a knight of Rel. Most likely a pour soul that as well assumed he could thwart the blight of Memloch upon the land.
However, the paladin was nothing too special in Cythis's eyes. It was the sword that was still holstered within it's sheath. The handel had markings of an ancient, heretical god of Rel upon it. Cythis was very familiar with this, as the dark elves feared this god. "Hhhmm....such an awful irony for one as yourself to be kept in this cold, dark, dungeon blade of Rel" Cythis chuckled. "You shall collect me a pretty gold piece of two."
When Cythis grabbed the hilt of the sword, the sword itself started shaking profusely. The vibrations started getting more powerful within Cythis's hand and he could not longer hold it, as the friction was blistering Cythis's hand. Trying to not make a scene as his other companions were close by in the dark, he pulled out his magical bag and slide the sword into it. "Gotcha ya you bastard!" Again, Cythis enjoying the irony of such a weapon's demise. "All of my enemies end up within my claws...praise be too Tiamet, the Mother of All Gods!"
Cythis's group finally realized that they were staying out there welcome within the tower of the Lich and would finally pull back as they took off with many new tomes and magical crafting supplies. The knowledge alone within some of the tomes Hyel, the Loremaster, would pay much a fortune for.
As Cythis walked out into the light of day, the rays of the sun hit him differently. His blurred visions was even more exaggerated then normal and his magical bag started bleeding out glowing light. Cythis used his cloak to cover this up, but he eventually left his companions and found isolation within the valley of Korgov. The bag then as well stopped it's vibrations and the light became dim. He was within his study under the ruins, a home not be any safe means, but yet, it was his place. Cythis as a young Illythiiri put his heart into worshipping Tiamet, yet fell short of walking the line of the outlawed priest. He however enjoyed the research and history it offered. He pulled an old tome from one of his shelves, full of dust and most of the pages were waterlogged and insect infested, but the knowledge he could still pull from them.
He found the section on Enemy Gods of the One True Mother of All Gods, all of her children were listed. That didn't help, however he knew this sword was of Rel. He tried to find more information on such a vile god within that tome, but it clearly lacked what Cythis wanted to know.
Cythis was not used to having his nose shoved into the ancient tomes of knowledge, but he had other sources available. But the time Cythis would have to spend reading he could easily opt for more weapon training and maintenance.

Good thread you're building here Cythis, it's maturing nicely.
