Hello, I am quite new to nwn2 but i have played a lot of mmorg's for years. I suppose you could call me an old school gamer
Been playing everquest 2 and everquest for the last 3 years. And too many other other mmo's to name, I found out about this persistent world by watching a video on youtube and i was intrigued to buy and install nwn2 so i could play here.

Have been playing Drakensang and Avencast - Rise of The Mage and i was looking for another game to buy and watched a few videos of nwn2. Looks a great game, I am going to play a few hours of the single player campaing to get a feel for the game.

Not sure what kind of character to create on here yet. I have read your server rules and some of the dasrian lore. Which i have to say was an amazing read very well writen story about the dasrian persistent world. I wanted to ask is the game world within dasaria very big ? .

A little about me i am 35 years young I never say old makes me feel younger that way. I am from england. well that will do for now, Hope to see you ingame soon and i look forward to exploring the world of Dasaria.

Edit: I wanted to ask when i have installed the game what patch should i patch upto to join your server ? does it auto update or should i just manualy download patches ? Thanks for any help given.

Just pick a class that you want to play, and go with it, and don't worry about creating a power build. You'll most often be adventuring with friends, so there's really no need to min-max a powerbuild that can solo everything.

If you just have NWN2 without any expansions, patch up to the latest version using the auto patcher, then connect to Das and the auto downloader will get you all the required files.

If you have the expansions (Mask of the Betrayer and/or Storm of Zehir) you need to install those BEFORE you run the patching utility otherwise you have a chance of contracting a nasty bug that will require you to reinstall.

Other than that, just connect and watch it do the work for you

Yup. What na85 said about character creation is also spot on. There are plenty of new players and new characters to group up with, so just pick something fun that you think you'll have a good time with. And you can always make more characters as well.

If I could add further advice, it would be to read the guides about RPing and then join an ingame faction. It will increase your fun factor by 100%

There is a huge number of ways you can create a character with different abiliities and skills, most importantly you'll find uses for those skills all over the place.

How big is Das? Big, even if your a lazy explorer there is soooo much more if you dare to explore, but heed my warning it is best with a friend or three
