The hardcore rules appeal to me too. But honestly I haven't roleplayed in several many years so I'm sure it'll take me some time to get back into. I roleplayed heavily on NWN1 on several servers and before that on a web-based chatroom type thing called TSRP, which sadly was taken down sometime during my time in Highschool (2002 or so). Anyway I've been trying to figure out what kind of character to make once I'm in and I've been toying with an idea to combine my <3 of RP and my <3 of Heavy Metal, I.E. a Tiefling Bard with a heavy-stringed lu'd, BlackSabbath Tritone-esque sounds and lyrics. Don't hate me yet! >:D The fact is that I've never successfully RPed a bard for longer than like a week before so it isn't likely to happen. We'll see. Howdy folks, I'm connected to the server right now downloading the module and I'm pretty excited to jump in the game. I've been craving some solid roleplay for the last few days now and I dug up my NWN2 CD and installed it after googling RP in games and finding these forums. It sounded like something I like! I generally prefer low-level magic but medium can work too The hardcore rules appeal to me too. Welcome! Now is a great time to start. Lots of great new players to learn the ropes with. I'd recommend some type of warrior to start for ease of play and RP too. Perhaps a mercenary with little political yearnings. There is a lot of lore to absorb and its difficult to play a character that should know things about the world like a cleric if you the player doesn't. You may also want to start with a human. Other races like tiefling may be shunned.
