  • Dasaria is an all-age server aimed at a mature audience. We expect our players to act as stewards of the gameworld and their fellow players, especially if their characters are in opposition.
  • We provide an environment where roleplay and in-character realism are encouraged. There is however, plenty of action to be had.
  • Dasaria is a medium-magic world, in which plain steel in capable hands can still shape the destiny of an Empire.
  • We are a full PvP server for roleplay and realism opportunities. The ONLY excuse for PvP is a legitimate roleplayed conflict.
  • Dasaria uses the Hardcore difficulty setting; Monsters do full damage and careless actions can harm your allies. Combat can be difficult for some characters and many dungeons are not intended to be soloed.
  • Dasaria has an experience cap of 191,500. As such, ECL races cannot reach level 20.
  • There is an experience and gold loss penalty for utilizing the respawner. There is no level loss or negative experience, except at level 20: You are provided enough of an experience buffer to permit one respawn at level 20, should you continue to use the respawner it is possible to drop to 19 but no further.
  • Dasaria is a medium-magic world. In the overwhelming majority of cases, +3/1d4 elemental is the maximum enhancement/damage bonus on discoverable items, +5 the maximum skill bonus, +2 the maximum 'caster' stat boosting item, and +3 in most other cases. Any identified exceptions to this are closely controlled.
  • You do not need any of NWN2's expansions to play on Dasaria. We support all client versions of the game simultaneously
  • The Administrators of Dasaria take a very dim view towards ill-behaved persons (cheaters, griefers, player or NPC-killers, out-of-character pickpockets, rapists, etc)
  • Your character begins their journey at level one with no gold or possessions, only their wits, and limitless adventure before them. We expect new players to explore and get to know our world a little. Orientation missions will guide you around the starting area and provide for the basic equipment and resources you need to explore further one your character is ready.
  • We have a custom Crafting System with its own unique recipes, allowing player-characters to create 1000s of custom items. Players reviewing the list linked above will see it is possible to create various enchantments and ammunition including elemental and exotic-metal items.
  • Dasaria features a persistent player housing system through which PCs can buy and sell real estate, purchase furnishings, arrange, and decorate their own homes
  • Gold, an in some cases items, can be stored at the Imperial Bank of Varana in Cear, or with one of its many correspondent banks around the gameworld
  • Dasaria features a custom campaign-oriented faction and renown system and overland map battlefield areas through which high-level characters can directly influence the course of the war through a 'game-within-the-game' that also provides non-epic progression opportunities even after PCs have reached level 20.
  • Players can create and maintain their own custom factions based on guilds or other associations using our in-game facility. NPCs in game may have specific (positive or negative) reactions to members of player-created factions, based on their particular storylines. Player factions may also own property or be provided access to private factions area based on their faction.
  • To help avoid metagaming, we do not currently publish detailed statistics concerning your PCs location or level while playing the game. For convenience we do provide a 'scry' system of the main menu that will alert you to the number of PCs in each quest 'hub' and the average level of PCs in that hub.
  • Healing potions in Dasaria work via regenerative effects, there are no 'instant heal' potions and only Clerics can raise or resurrect PCs in-game. Death is persistent across server resets.
  • Varana, the Empire that currently controls Dasaria, is a Lawful Evil Empire. PCs that act in overtly rebellious or seditious manners in places where they are observed by the authorities, can become Enemies of the State, which can severely curtail their access to civilized areas and the resources there. EOS status can only be granted by a DM.
  • Certain in-character laws are enforced by other PCs, including members of the Cerulean Fleet in the City of Cear, the starting area. These PCs are able to issue warrants for the arrest of other PCs who roleplay violating the in-character laws, and to force those PCs to serve a few minutes 'jail time.' A PC who uses the respawner while there is an outstanding warrant for their arrest will respawn in jail.
  • Server rules violations are always dealt with on an OOC basis. Persons violating the server rules may find their PCs deleted, de-leveled, or de-quipped, themselves banned temporarily or permanently, depending on the seriousness of the offense.
  • Conversely, it is OK to roleplay a Rebel or Miscreant here, just pay attention to the server rules. Of course, as there are often in-game consequences for in-character actions, it is possible for your PC to get themselves in trouble with other PCs and even NPCs.
  • There is the possibility of contracting lycanthropy on this server. When in were-form a lycanthrope is hostile to all NPCs and PCs on the server. Actonium Tonic, which can be foraged in the wild from Wolvesbane, is the only known cure for Lycanthropy. It must be administered while the PC is out of were-form.
  • Dasaria provides a customized version of a popular forage system, in which herbs and tinctures providing small benefits can be harvested in the wild by those with sufficient skills.
