Sitting in The King's Pub in Morell, you can hear all kinds of fascinating rumors. The one Wall heard the most recent came from a shady looking spy/scout/whatever-you-want-to-call-her regarding a special type of warhammer, called "Indiscriminate Justice" Capable of only being weilded by those that uphold the law, the weapon deals not only the bone-crushing damage that Wall perfers, but also deals damage from each of air, fire, water, and earth. The sound of this mighty hammer's landing blow reverberates painfully through the ears of it's target as well. Wall now seeks the crafter of this hammer, or information leading to the whereabouts of the hammer or the crafter.
OOC Below this point
Wanted by quest or craft: Hammer of Indiscriminate Justice -
Warhammer
Useable only by Lawful (I know you can't craft this restriction)
Any enchantment bonus
elemental damage of any amount for all of: Electrical, Fire, Acid, Cold, and Sonic.
Please make sure I can use it if you craft it...no sense in having me purchase a level 20+ weapon and carrying around for a "decade" or so. Also, if you need me to find specific material to craft the item, Wall will go get them.

Re: Wanted By Craft or Quest: Indiscriminate Justice
I am not a crafter, but I think this weapon in not craftable per the engine. Bear with me here, I will try to make this clear and/or correct
A weapon has 3 enhancement "slots" and the different types of enhancemets as the engine is concerned are along the lines of:
-enchanted (i.e. +1, +2, +3) is one enhancement
-special material (silver, darksteel, mithral...) is one enhancement
-added damage (electrical, fire, acid, cold, sonic, negative, ect....) is one enhancement EACH
-keen is one enhancement (I think)
-there are probably more but I can not think of any right now
So you could make a regular iron warhammer that is +2 and deals electrical and acid damage and that would fill your 3 slots.
You could also have one made of silver that deal cold and negative energy and that would fill all three slots.
There are ways to improve on this if you can enhance items by casting spells or coating the item with acid in game while playing. So you could have the first hammer from above that has all 3 slots filled to start with and cast the (druid?) spell that lights the weapon on fire (and looks friggin' sweet!) and you would have a warhammer that is +2 and deals electrical, acid, and the additional fire damage until that spell runs out.
Hope that helps!
Oh, also, this is a medium magic world and there is a limit on how powerful we are permitted to make a weapons. I think the one you speced out would probably beyond the scope of this server but, as always, that is a DM's call.

Elemental damage is easily done, but player-crafted items can only have a maximum of two enchantments. So it'd have to be either an enhancement bonus plus one elemental damage, or two elemental damage enchantments.
This only applies to items created in-game, as anything created in the toolset and submitted to DMs doesn't have that restriction. However, looking at the other items in-game even having one point of damage from each element would be more powerful than anything currently available if it also included an enhancement bonus. I think Alterity was working on a dagger awhile back that dealt one of each element, but it also had no physical damage to even it out.

I can understand why, at least for a dagger, that the evening processes would be "no physical damage". A dagger only does d4 to start with. One point of each element is already 4 points guaranteed damage.ChemicalAgent wrote:I think Alterity was working on a dagger awhile back that dealt one of each element, but it also had no physical damage to even it out.
I created this weapon as an artifact for a server I once was developing and ended up stopping work on. I also remember crafting something close while in another PW years ago, but I believe you're both right with the restrictions to three enhancements. I don't recall ever getting the exact hammer ever crafted. The one I ended up with was "Hammer of Thunderbolts", which was +5 Electrical d6 and Sonic d6; I would also like something similar to that.
If the world limits to two enhancements on weapons, so be it. I seem to recall the maximum elemental damage was d4 as well. It would be nice to get a warhammer that does electrical and sonic, but given that undead are going to be on the rise in the near future, having weapons without enhancement bonuses are pointless. It'd also be difficult to bankroll the completion set; a number of hammers that are 6 choose 2...THIRTY such hammers assuming we only choose one type of enhancement bonus along with elemental damage!
Still, it'd be nice to go "in search of" the elusive artifact. Likely not to happen, since such a hammer is outside the mythos for this server, let alone the restrictions. I guess I'm just daydreaming at work while not staring at code. Back to work.

True, it can have 2 enchantments, like anything else. It already has one (magical damage) though, so there is only one additional enchantment slot available. Exotic metals' ability to bypass some forms of DR is not considered an enchantment, its an innate weakness to the nature of some creatures' DR.Furthermore, I have been told that adamantine weapons can only have 1 enchantment, consistent with the magic damage from adamantine counting as 1 enchantment.
Generally, there aren't exotic metals items in the loot pool. It's possible there's an exception out there somewhere, or that somebody has a legacy dropped item kicking around that has since been pared out, I wouldn't worry about it too much though.
