Arianna is a true daughter of Rian..Her parents grew up there,but chose to walk among the humans before she was born. Exhibiting an finity for the arcane arts, she was sent back to Rian to study magic. She showed an unprecidented apetite for knowledge..often exasperating her teahcher with questions, and more often spendign so much time reading she forgot to practice what she learned. So after ten years of this a messagre was sent to her parents that Arianna was no longer cionsidered candidate for instruction with in the acadamey walls, and it was suggested that they find a singel teacher for her to apprentice under.
She returned home to her parents dismay, and shame.but undaunted in her thrist for knowledge of all things magic. Her parents sent out the call for one of superior talent, and patience to ake the "young" elf under their wing and teach her. the replies came quickly..for there are always hedge wizards, witches most with out enough skill or power to lite a candle willing to take coin.

After several months of this a human named Friemin Beltorum knocked on their door...he presented himself as a powerful wizard who in hisadvanced years ahd decided to share his knowledge with one worthy student.

Ariannas parents were overjoyed that they might have finally found the one they sought. Ariann was told to be present laterthat evening so Friemin could interview her. to make a long story short..Arianna was sent to pack that very night, and thus began sevral years of training with Friemin.

Years passed and Arianna learned much,,but again since she often forgot to practice what she learned her power wqas not as strong as they should be for one so talented

This did not bother Friemin over much..for he knew that once she aged a little more she would naturally slow her devouring of knowledge and seek to explore it's uses. This began a year ago and she has grown stedily stronger in her arts.

Five months past Friemin came to her and and divulgedd that he is a member of the Arcanus Society along with his twin brother, whom he never talked to becasue of a long standing feud over the uses of Magic in the everyday life of the people. He ha recieved a letter from the sceretary of the society informing him that his name along with that of his brother Marius had been submitted for the position of president of the Cear chapter, and that Arianna was to accompany him to the Dasarian Capital. they tok ship from Shepards Landing on a fine clear summers day. Less than a days sailing from Cear in the dead of night the ship was beset bu raiders..dressed as pirates, Friemin was abed since sea travel did not sit well with him.. Arianna had just returned from emptying the bucket Friemin used regularly on the voyage, when the alarm sounded..both ran to the deck to see the raiders already swarming over the rails..qiickly spotting the smaller craft the pirates arrived in Friemin sent a powerful bal lof fire to cumsume it..then turned to the ememy on the deck of their own ship. The battlewas well in hand and swinging quickly in the favor of the crew when unseen another Pirate boat came abreast of the already beleagured ship.. a few hundred feet off the port side..this new boat had a wizard of some power aboard who began casting spells of his own..Friemin was able to fend of these attacks, until one such blast snapped the mainmast and sent the boom sails and rigging crashing down on top of Friemins head..Htr last thing he did was to cast an invisibility spell over Arianna and send her over the side into the water with a blast of wind.

Arianna watched in silence whilst the Prirates went about slaughtering the crew and scuttleing the ship..it wasn't until a few day later after he hd been puled from the sea and arrived i ncear that she realized..the pirates took nothing from the ship in the way of loot..they just slaughtered the crew and sank the ship..she now believes in her heart that Friemin was the target of the attack,,and that his brother was behind it..She has sworn to avenge her beloved teacher.
